Here's a unique one for sale on Craigslist right now! For only $900 someone could try to undo the damage. Warning - you cannot unsee this....
From the ad: My bike is painted black and has vance and hines pipes that sound awesome. I bought it as a winter project but dont ever have time for it anymore. Its the 500 cc single cylinder engine. Has around 11k miles. It needs a battery, a rear tire and some work on the ignition, so its not perfect but is fully functional and fast for a 500cc. Salvage title, the headlight on it may look a bit odd but it works. If you are interested email, thanks. 900 OBOhttp://wichita.craigslist.org/mcy/4268116764.html} |

.....and the damn tank cover isn't all the way down around the filler !!! Other than that-I don't see any problems. Imagine explaining to your insurance company : " my headlight fell off and I ran over it, causing me to crash"! |

Erik - remember him? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&vxp= mtr&item=251419932925 Pete raced a while - wrecked one, sold the other to the Brit gent who turned the motor into a 44mag, only this bike survives him now. EZ |

Frame, bodywork and wheels alone are worth the price - let alone everything else - add a decent set of front brakes - some front and rear lighting and signals and that thing could be a corner carvers dream tool! Pete always was a quality type guy, though the engine is old school, it still is awesome - that is what build quality is about. EZ |

Of course! He sent me my yellow fly screen, gratis! Really good guy and yes the parts alone are worth at least $4700. Bummer (or maybe a good thing) he's so far away. Love to have that bike! |

I'll get new tires when these are ready to be replaced, probably next year I'm thinking. I know from reading on here people for various reasons don't like the OEM tires, but in all honesty I've put almost 5000km on them and have had no issues be it commuting, highway riding for a couple hours, or scraping the pegs on either side, they are fine for what I've asked and expected out of them. They aren't Michelin Pilots, but I don't expect that kind of performance out of them either... Maybe mine were made different, I don't know. They were brand new at the end of last season, so who knows. (Message edited by Chief_ten_bears on August 16, 2014) (Message edited by Chief_ten_bears on August 16, 2014) |

I think that is the best color combination that these bikes came with. |

Any of the Pirrelli would be a definite improvement though - that's a fact. I went all the way through my first set, also went down a few times as well - it's a Blast it can take it, and a new tank cover is only like 250 - so no biggie. EZ |

Give it up EZ. He's only going to believe when he see's the difference. I've seen guys race on the stock Dunlops, no big deal, but there is easily better tire for that. But when someone left turns in front of you, the Dunlop is not the front tire you want to bet your life on. we can be spared the whole 'accidents are avoidable' speech. Sometimes, they are not. |

I don't or have had any issues with the OEM Dunlops at all, and I am certainly not arguing that the OEM tire is better than the Pirellis'. All I'm saying is I and MY personal experience thus far is I have and had zero issues with the stock Dunlops... That certainly doesn't mean they are better... When I need to replace the tires, I'm likely going to get the tried tested and true ST66 rear and Diablo front that so many here have had great experiences with, which I believe wholeheartedly are better than, and I know for a fact, are lower priced than the OEM tires! You'd be silly not to. |

The point is, very seriously, we are concerned for anyones well being that runs the Dunlops (or any other poor quality tire). It's not out of a "we know better" attitude, it's all about safety and concern. That's all. For the front brakes a Blast has, it needs a good tire. So many Blasts have gone down from a front tire slide. Nothing personal, but I do think we are nagging you on this point and we should stop. |

Looked high and low across the internet for OEM Buell Saddlebags, with none to be had that were in decent shape nor a decent price... So, I picked up a set of Nelson Rigg SPRT-40 sport saddlebags. They are soft, but have a stiff permanent shape, so they aren't like a duffel bag that collapse etc. They fit and work great on the Blast, I'm happy with them.
