What holds it there? Any support or it just hanging off the carb? Which is supported by das boot. EZ |

EZ- it's supported by a vertical bracket on the left side that comes down from one of the coil mounting bolts and connects to a hoseclamp to take up most of the weight. |

It's rubber so vibration isn't the issue plastic could be, so I'd suggest a second bracket to take as much force and weight off the carb as possible, and a superboot - contact Dan/Thumpe - still that must weigh two pounds? EZ |

Thanks. I'm gonna fab up a bracket that fully supports the carb, whenever I figure it out. |

Since its rubber contrary vibrations shouldn't be a serious issue, so your mounting possibilities are better/easier. EZ |

Glad you are still able to post, EZ. As a EMT, I have seen more than my share of wrecks. |

Guess I'll share photos of my 2000 Blast. Can't really figure out how to start a thread of my own, but hopefully this does it...

That's the plan after reading as much as I can on this (and other) forums. The bike is relatively "new to me", although I've put about 1500 miles on it. By the way, the front tire has already ditched me (and the bike). I used it as an excuse to repair/replace some stuff that needed it at the same time. |

Worst rubber ever found on the bike is stock Dunlop, second would be Kenda. EZ |

Going to start with MT75's...and then follow your Diablo and/or ST66 recommendations for follow on sets. Cheers! |

Updated pictures.... Got the Pirelli's on there - carb is rejetted, fresh AMSOIL oil change, new K&N filter...lots and lots of elbow grease cleaning everything up. I think she looks fairly nice, but I'm biased...

Drtycop I bought the same EMGE fairing, but couldn't figure out a good way to fabricate a mount for it. Mind posting some pictures of the mount? |

Hello guys! I am new to the forum and stopped by to say HI. Here is my BLAST! I put on a new tank decal and polished the hell out of the plastic. The previous owner was not a fan of cleaning, so the rims are really tough to clean. I will be installing a new Sports Bike Handle Bars and take off the wind screen, to get a complete sporty look! Currently the bike has a Vins and Hines (not sure of the spelling) exhaust. And I recently performed an oil change. My next line of duties are to fix the voltage problems and see if the previous owner rejetted the carbs...it is losing power at high speeds or at full throttle.

Hello EZ, I thought it was the boot, and replaced it, but I still have the lean problem. I even changed the Carb Gasket. There is no air leak either..... Probably I need to rejet the carb... |
