You can use a Sportster or M2 shift lever. Sportster is short and can be uncomfortable especially if you have big feet or wear heavy boots. M2 can be expensive. |

Josh, Go back to the site where you purchased the seat, I saw a shifter on page 2 under "Blast" some time ago, if you can't find it try telephoning them. It seemed awful expensive to me. Also I know the place below has a used one; http://www.buellsterparts.com/product.sc;jsessionid=56163BD5AF3A79CB075FBB998EBFFE7F.m1plq scsfapp05?productId=378&categoryId=5. You will have to copy and paste the entire line in your browser. Don't forget to search eBay. KennyG |

One Question: What is wrong with your shifter? If just the toepeg is bent (and they're made to bend in a drop) you can just replace that. That might seem obvious, but its not to some, and toepeg and shifter arm are available separately, but that fact was lost on many parts counterpeople. |

As Eric said, if it is just the toepeg, you can fix it with a trip to the hardware store. Mine was bent when I bought it, broke off when I tried to straighten it. The end of the shifter is tapped. I just got a 5/16-18 (I think?) 2 inch socket head bolt and a jam nut. Slid the rubber part over the bolt then put the jam nut on and threaded the whole thing into the shifter, then tightened the jam nut against the shifter. It's been like that now for about 5 years. |

Hey guys I could use some help! I was riding my blast I have the 05 and I was in a gravel driveway and it started to fall. I cut the engine and used all my strength to try and keep it from falling. All I was able to do was slow it's falling it did not hit hard at all I pretty much set it on its side. I picked her up and now she won't start I don't have a vast bike knowledge so I have no idea what is wrong and why it won't start. Help ASAP would be awesome! Thanks |

Welcome! Have you tried turning the key on and off and tried restarting the bike? The bike has 2 "fall" safety devices. 1 is a Bank Angle Sensor (BAS) and shuts off the ignition off in a fall (or 55+degree lean). It wont turn the ignition back on until the bike has been completely shut off (ignition key off). It also has a rollover valve on the gas tank that turns off the gas in the event of a fall. Both switches are mechanical in nature and should right themselves after the bike is upright. However, as previously stated, the BAS is hooked to the ignition. Let us know what happens. |

Thanks for responding Gear, yes I have tried sitting the bike up and left the ignition off while I set it up I did both things last night when this happened and then let my bike sit over night. It still won't start even after being upright. |

You'll have to check for spark. That can be done the traditional way by pulling off the plug wire and using a spare spark plug grounded against the engine or with an insulated handle screwdriver (most are). OR pull the points/timing cover off and check to see if the LED flashes on and off. Both are done while cranking the engine over. Do you have a repair manual? Do you need further explanation if you don't have a manual? |

Dual shocks, 500lbs, made in india, upright forks, styling only matched by other indi bikes like the Royal Einfield - same rear wheel power as a highly modified Blast at almost half the weight again - wow - what a pig, and yet they will sell - sigh... EZ |

From Thumpe/Dan - Here's the response to my email from Michelin. Dan, we appreciate your request for the Michelin Power Pure SC scooter tires in size 140/70-16 and 110/70-16. Unfortunately, we do not have any plans to manufacture these tires. Your request will be forwarded to the appropriate Marketing Group for future consideration. We apologize we are unable to accommodate your request. In case you are not aware, we do offer the Michelin City Grip in both your requested sizes. We appreciate your business and thank you for contacting Michelin. If we can assist you further, please respond to this email or call us at 1-800-346-4098 between 8:00AM and 5:00PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday. Sincerely, Gregg Consumer Care Department Certified Michelin Product Expert Now we should post this on all the buell blast forums and have EVERYBODY send them an email maybe they will get the hint. lol Here's there email address: http://www.michelinman.com/contact-us.page Just copy this message below and sent it to them YOU CAN NOT ENTER THE YEAR, MAKE OR MODEL FOR THE BLAST other wise you'll get the line it's not the OEM tire size recommended by the MFG bullcrap. So here's the message: "MICHELIN Power Pure SC Radial motorcycle tire technology for maxi-scooters or even in the non-radial". Hi, I've been waiting for a duel compound scooter tire I got all excited when I seen these till you didn't have any in my size. Will you be making these in more sizes anytime soon say in a 140/70 -16 and 110/70 -16 Thank you, Dan I sent my request as well - who's next? - lol EZ |

Thanks for posting this up for me EZ. I think anyone who rides a Blast could appreciate a duel compound tire the way the Blast like to eat them up. I know I would like to get more then 3500 out of a tire. Only take a couple minutes to copy an send the email take my name out and put yours in who knows enough of us bugging them they will consider it. Thanks for your help, Dan |

Yeah - even the Truck LED set up (as bright as HID with a lot is less than half the price on their sight - 179 vs 450 retail. Shopping around can pay off, and it would make a great light for any cafe - lol EZ (Message edited by ezblast on November 24, 2013) |

Only thing I have noticed with setups where the blinkers are right next to the headlight (cars and bikes) is that the headlight totally washes out the blinker and oncoming traffic cannot see it - all you can see is the headlight. |

LOL - that is easily prevented by proper headlight aiming - and 20 leds to a side you aren't missing unless its 90wattHID - in which case no one likes you anyway - lol There where only 9 leds to a side on my old fairing and those things where glaringly bright running a h4 55/60 as the main. I've seen these on a HD - it will definitely look tricker with the black trim rim as well. Got a lot of other parts already here that will go with the rebuild as well. EZ |

Quote:"I was so excited to know that I was going to ride my bike the next day, and I still feel that way" from the above trailer. Yes! Thats exactly true. On my way home from work today it was 17F and foggy. I look forward to doing it again tomorrow, as I have done every day this week! Sadly , its not to be and I am very disappointed. The frost that covered my bike on the way home had also, unbeknownst to me, covered the bottom of my boots and I dropped the bike in the garage as my feet slid out from under me. I just dont have time today to bend the mirror back and check for any other damage. Looks like a good movie! |

Yeah, I haven't had time to winterize the Buell yet I probably wouldn't have dropped it and it would have been A LOT EASIER (!!!) to pick up if I did! |
