Ive got a few mechanical and electrical issues and I appologize for the length of this post.. but I'd like to get all of my little issues worked out for ease of mind and for the joy of riding. I fear the worst, I'm afraid these little hic-cups are doing long-term damage to my beloved Blast. Any help would be appreciated.
I'll start with the bigger of the issues. I'm sure there are multiple posts about this issue, so I appologize for the redundancy of this question. My bike has succumbed to the paper rocker gasket finally, and it's leaking every time I ride it. I wash the bike frequently (I gotta have it clean lol) and removing the black, stubborn oil from the engine block is getting old lol. I'd like to get this fixed as soon as possible, but with the winter months coming all too soon this repair may not get done til next season... or if I'm ambitious enough to tackle it during winter. So, my questions are as follows:
1. Where can I pick up the proper gasket?
2. How hard will it be to replace the old gasket?
3. How do I go about getting the head off without tearing apart my entire bike?
4. Is there any advice on what I should avoid or do while fixing this issue?
-also. My carb boot, it needs addressed as well. Where can I pick up a replacement, or, as I see some of ya'll suggested, where can I get a SuperBoot? Any advice on that repair as well would be greatly appreciated.
AND now my final 2 issues, the speed sensor and my battery isn't being recharged during a ride. The speed sensor seems pretty simple, but advice (and a point in the direction as to where to get the part) would be nice before I try to fix it. Now, the battery issue is confusing. Some say it could be a dead cell in the battery, and I hope so because from what I heard, fixing the stator or regulator seem like tough tasks. I currently have a Battery Tender hooked up to my battery, and I have at most, nearly 10 starts per overnight-full battery charge. Has there been any history of stators/regulators going bad on a Blast? I've heard no a lot, but there have been a few yes's too. Advice? Help? Ideas?
Thanks for reading my excessively long post lol. Hope to hear back from you guys, this forum kicks ass by the way. Great info.

Parts - choose one our sponsors - American Sport Bike is the easiest to work with,

our own is buried in the TKV. Time consuming not hard. Stator and regulator easy as well. Battery needs replacing as well. Superboot on ebay.
Seems really that you have a lot of parts to replace and labor - nothing complicated - do searches here and on that site and you'll find everything you need.

Sounds good! Guess I was worrying for nothing. Thank you for the link and pointers, EZ. I feel more confident going into the repairs now.
