Hey guys, could you please take the time, visit each of these 3 links, and tell me if these 3 items should go together with no mechanical issues? Thanks. I don't see any problems with those going on the Blast or working together; however, bar-end weights will remove some of the buzzy feel that is transmitted through the handle bars. They don't eliminate shaking, but instead lower the higher frequency vibrations where are your hands are on the bars. If you are planning longer rides, say over 100 miles, they will help, IMO. I have heard you can get a similar effect by filling the handle bar with sand, but that is only a rumor to me... I never tried it. I did notice your bike was missing a mirror on one photo so I see your motivation. (Message edited by titusand on March 01, 2012) |

You cant put bar end weights on with those mirrors. The bars are a common Blast conversion. |

Concur, and if you lane split you can cut 1 1/2" off the ends for a trimmer width - my bike's width is my mantra splitting traffic. Been there - lol EZ

Just be careful if you need to remove the grips on the old bars (for whatever reason) not to stab or otherwise injure yourself. It happens a lot as the stock grips can be impossible to get off. |

Erick, This is the first set of hand grips in my lifetime that I couldn't get off of the bike without cutting them off. I bought SuperBars and never though to get new grips for them. Now that I have no left side grip to use. What do you recommend for grips and where should I get them? Thanks KennyG |

I don't really have an answer for that. I'm not home (FYI). Choose whatever grip you like keeping in mind "gel grips" or any other special grips may not be the wonder grip they claim to be! So I'd buy a cheap set that doesn't have any obvious comfort flaws. * only 1in 3 get that left grip off successfully!!!! |

Thanks Erick, Will any set 0f 7/8" sports bike grips fit on my 2009 Buell Blast? I am not sure if the throttle grip is interchangable from one brand of bike to another. I saw this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Handlebar-Hand-Grips-7-8-For-Buell-Lighting-Thunderbolt-Cyclone-Ulysses-Blast/151140460551?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D2033402848097712903%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D151143310158%26#vi-ilComp If anyone else has input on hand grips let me know. I will wait until tomorrow to order them. KennyG (Message edited by Kenny Gilgore on October 16, 2013) |
