LOL...For get it ! Buy a Belt !

Too much $$$ and fab work to do a chain drive conversion. But yes- i've seen it done on 5 different Blasts. And it every case it took fab work to the swingarm which was co$tly and you have to have a rear sprocket fabricated or convert to another wheel- even MORE costly !
In the end, if you want to spend $2000 to convert it to chain drive...then more power to You !

Try calling a buell dealer. Some harley dealers are just plain no-good when it comes to buells, esp. the blast.

S&S BUILDS SPORTSTER ENGINES TO OVER 100 CUBIC INCHES.THE HORSEPOWER THESE ENGINES MAKE IS TOO MUCH FOR A BELT DRIVE LIKE THAT ON A STOCK SPORTSTER.THEY CONVERT TO CHAIN DRIVE.YOU WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO USE A SPORTSTER COMPATABLE REAR WHEEL OR HUB,BUT THE REST IS A BOLT UP.I HAVE SEEN SIMPLE ROLLERS USED TO SOLVE SWINGARM PROBLEMS(LOOK AT ANY LATE MODEL DIRT BIKE)THIS CAN AND IS BEING DONE BY THE CHOPPER GUYS AND THE CURRENT CROP OF PEOPLE USING THE BLAST MOTOR FOR SINGLES RACING.

I've been thinking - never a good thing - but there is a way to convert to chain drive in expensively - if you had the tools - cutting some 1/4" good steel plate to the same circular dimensions as the current pulley, bolting it on as a replacement and mounting Sportster/Buell chain sprockets to the desired ratio front and rear, and do cut outs to lighten plate, add chain and a spring tensioner for the chain. Depending on how you lightened the plate with the
cut outs - it wouldn't look too bad - though any chain conversion would add to unsprung weight - still - you could probably do it that way rather inexpensively.
