NCB - You have a ss braided brake line - you need a fork brace - asap - first wet day and moderate pull will have the front wanting to swap with rear - the brace nullifies those forces. The sole reason Buell went from ss braided to rubber was that reason. To lessen the forces only working on one side of the bike - so the forks could more equally share in braking force, there being less to deal with. EZ |

Here is a pic of my blast. not finished yet but maybe half way there. thinking of doing a custom seat, adding some rear-sets, removing the air-box, adding a custom filter and putting a tool bag in the air-boxes place, and getting rid of all the cali emissions junk since i'm in missouri. Oh and some more stickers too.

Welcome Todd! If you havent at least disconnected the CA charcoal canister, do so asap. It WILL leave you stranded. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/201 64/76349.html?1247694495 Do it the easy way, then pull out all the hoses and junk later. 1 golf tee and a 7/16" bolt is all you need to plug the 2 lines. Line to tank is left open. 5 minutes work. |

Here's a photo of me on my Blast last Saturday - my first time riding! In an empty parking lot downtown. Just got the bike and learner's permit a couple weeks ago.

Just finishing up. Did the EZ airbox mod, changed the jets (48/175), Super Das Boot, and Kerker exhaust mod. I havent finished welding the exhaust yet so for tonight I am running a jerry rigged straight pipe.

Thanx gearhead for the cali canister info. I pulled the canister off and grey sludge came oozing out. The bike is running much better now. Oh, also switched to the iridium spark plug. You guys have been an awesome resource. Thank you so very much for having this site up.

OK, here's the most recent look of the dragon blaster. the only planned changes are painting the wheels, swingarm & fork white and the grey part of the crankcase to black. i will do something with the Y-arms some day but the current rearsets are too expensive. performance-wise, i also plan to add a fork brace, headlight conversion, and maybe someday a 515 kit.
