Sunset orange-my least favourite colour. Looks as if it was left out in the sun and the plastic faded. Better choice of colours |

I'm getting out on my Blast more and more now; thought I'd send in some sunny photos for you frozen-in-da-midwesterners. These were shot down at "Baby Beach" in Kapaa. I used to live in Chicago, Cleveland and Boston, so I've felt your pain.... Also I bought a "brand new" 2002 Blast Owners Manual on eBay and until I looked at the photos in there, I hadn't noticed that someone has removed my rear fender and belt guard. Looks better anyway and I have no plans to carry a passenger anytime soon. Don't those new Pirellis look sweet? And you can see my wrapped header..no worries about rust cuz it was already rusty! No time to ride today though..

Sweet pictures. Glad to see that you are getting out and about. The bike looks great! How did you end up in a place some consider the ultimate paradise? |

Seriously dude. We all know thats a backdrop at Sears portraits. Where are you really? The bike looks nice and I've never seen a bad picture of any you take. Hawaii really that beautiful or are you just that good?!? |

Your air scoop is missing also - you know Rustoleum makes a BBQ paint - cheap - you could paint the header in it then wrap it back up, rusting problems postponed, in fact on the Islands, as in Florida - Rustoleum will become your friend, that and a lite coat of wd40 - lol - nice bike though, looks well kept otherwise, keep an eye on the oil and you should be good to go! EZ Oh yeah! Hawaii is that beautiful! (Message edited by ezblast on February 04, 2011) |

Thanks so much guys! You guys, who I've never met and probably will never meet, have helped me immensely. You should be proud of what you do here for all Blast owners. The Internet is both so scathing ( I can hardly believe how cruel folks are nowadays on newspaper forums/comments, etc. )And then there's places like this that have real aloha. Aloha is a real thing and basically it means being kind for the sake of being kind- and expecting nothing in return. Kinda like karma maybe - where you feel that by helping how you can, things get better for everyone. Here it's all about nuts and bolts on one level; but it's also about helping folks enjoy their Blast, (which is admittedly a rather strange, perhaps not fully developed, motorcycle)...but then beyond all of the mechanics, ultimately it's about cruising and enjoying the open road on a really cool American made single - and the big ass grin on your face! And no it's not a sears backdrop, but you saying that makes me appreciate it even more! Kauai is insanely beautiful and sometimes it feels good to be reminded of it. Maybe on some level that's why I taunted you guys with these pix!? What's funny is that my bike is actually pretty beat on compared to a lot of the pristine bikes I see you guys riding. Mine needs me to pull and repaint the Y frames; forks are slightly rusty, clean up the wheels..in person in looks pretty ghetto honestly. One thing I'm gonna do is install HID light cuz I have the needed bits just lying around the garage from another project. Thanks for making me feel great! |

Ebay has some K&N filters for $19 I will try and post some pictures of the snow and you will understand why most of the world does not believe that there is a place like that that actually exists. |

Kauai - Aloha kakahiaka Yes, they are all so willing, quick and honest with help and information. I am very lucky to have come across this site some years back and have relied heavily upon their expertise. And don't be so certain that you will never meet any of these guys. My husband and I had the pleasure of sharing a cold one with Swampy when we rode to Michigan a couple years ago, you just never know. |

Yeah, I removed the scoop and I kinda like it that way. I like seeing the velocity stack sticking out on the side. I did get a K&N BU-5000 on eBay a few weeks ago..and a new 9-series Iridium NGK plug that I need to put in. (and..cough..a new LED tailight off of d'Bay but hasn't come yet. you know how it is..). But in a revolutionary agreement with my wife, I'm only buying stuff on eBay with $ I get from selling OTHER stuff...lol! We call it "materialaxative"-ism...one thing in / one thing out! I like the repainting the pipe with Rustoleum idea and if I mess with the exhaust at some point I'll do that. I even have some of that hi-temp paint lying around and wonder why my neurons didn't do the math. click click click whirrrrr...lol. And I do hope you are right Maggie, it'd be great to meet any of you guys. Come to Kauai and rent a bike to ride! Not sure if this is still true, but Kauai HD claims you can even rent a Buell if you want (maybe a 1125 or something..) http://www.hawaiiharleyrental.com/kauai.htm Enjoy Yourselves and have a great weekend. |

That's really looking nice. Is the buell logo a sticker or painted on? Tail looks good too. What's the metal part on the front fender? |

This is the snow on the back deck....
and then out the front window....I haven't been out doors yet today....at the end of the driveway was a big pile of frozen snow, some dufus must have dropped his phone and ran into the snow pile, went across the driveway and hit the snow bank on the other side of the driveway knocking the door off my mail box! All the driveways you can see in the picture, I clear, all the sidewalks...I clear...sidewalks and driveways that you can't see on the right...I do them also!
I now have Basement Bobbys Volva wagon sitting in the garage with a bad coil. The good news is we are in a warm up, we went from -5 to +40 today! Notice that there are lights(not Christmas) on the tree in the front window, and I have 3 permanent trees with lights mounted on the deck railing. Wifey has an artificial tree and light fetish, and that's all right with me.... |

Thanks guys, I thought the little bike was ugly as hell at first, but it has grown on me. It has gotten to be a 10 footer over the past year, my wife has dropped it, and put a few scratches on it, but it definitely turns heads going down the road. Would really love to find some cheap exhaust, and and intake for it. I have done the carb work, per EZ's instructions, and i have to say it is so much more responsive. |
