This is a weeks worth of project, but i just completed last night.

1. Shim'd stock needle

2. install 45 slow jet

3. drill and adjust idle air mix screw

4. install Dan's Superboot ,to replace the radiator hose the dealer used for "das boot"

5. install M1 velocity stack with Outerwears filter

6. Place breather filter over the Stock t-fitting that was previously going in to airbox

7. adjust base idle to 1200 Rpm

8. Adjust clutch lever freeplay to 1/8 inch

9. remove noisy passenger pegs ( bike sounded like it was going to rattle apart while riding down the road)

10. Install Gp Touring bars with new grips and Mirricycle (bicycle) bar end mirror

11. install Led flasher

12. drain 1.25 qts of oil, that the dealer overfilled

13. pull out of shed and let warm up while putting the 1125cr in the shed

Take her a on the maiden voyage, screaming " YIPEE" the whole ride, The bike i use to hate with a passion is now more fun than i could ever have imagined it to be.

This was a last ditch effort before i was just going to sell the little Blastard, but not anymore, it has found its own little spot in my garage.

I am Amazed at how these things really transformed this little bike.

Thanks to EZ for all of the Info. and help
Thanks to Dan/Thumpe for the re-engineering of "Das Boot"

Yes it is! I'd never done it before but there's great photo instructions here on the forum...if you poke around you'll find it. Also there's YouTube vids about keihin cv carbs and what makes em tick. You can learn a lot that way.
In fact the Blast is a great machine to make the transition from being the guy who says "uhh I really don't know #%$@ about engines" to being the guy who says " sounds like you might have a leak in your intake manifold, Carl" and actually know what you are talking about! Lol.
The thing is just so simple!
