Froggy: How about the story of that picture? And exactly what damage did you incur that you desperately needed to remove the hugger? And why were the much faster Buells the only ones upright? |

The Blast, and probably all the Buell owners manuals are no longer available on Shitheads.com....Bastages |

Why must they keep making us angry! We've now gone from redheaded stepchild, to being locked up in a room in the attic. Soon they'll erase all traces and wall us up in the basement. One wonders if the HD museum will house any Buells? They'll photoshop Erik out of any pictures. ...I feel a story coming on..... |

Let them try to kill me off or write me out of the sit-com, like Jason or Freddy, I will keep coming back and haunting those that tried to forget or make me disappear. They will rue the day they took my Blast and turned it into an ottoman The production line may have long since come to a halt but the legend lives on in the thump thump that keeps rolling down the road. As my husband Thumper says, we have now become classic collectible bikes and will only continue to amaze those that see us when we roll into view. |

http://froggypwns.com/coppermine/albums/userpics/n ormal_IMG_8735.JPG So it turns out the picture is a fake. So how about we find the best caption for it (now that we know no Blastards we harmed in the making of it)! |

Hi there, I need some help, please! I was out (foolishly) riding on a dirt road when I tipped my Blast on the left side softly in some sand. It ran for maybe 5 seconds then quit. I righted it, tried to start it didn't work. I let it sit for 2 days, got a new spark plug and I'm not getting spark. I'm getting fuel, compression but no spark. I checked all the connections, and nothing got damaged... Please help me. =( |

Welcome Nomes13. The Blast has a "Bank Angle Sensor" (or BAS). When the bike is titled on its side more than 55 degrees (aka dropped) it kills the ignition. When you right the bike the BAS should reset itself, but only after you turn the ignition off, then back on. Its sounds as if the switch is stuck. (Its a round metal piece about the size of a pencil eraser that rolls back and forth in the switch housing. When it rolls to one side it shuts down the ignition). You can bypass it, but I dont remember which 2 of the 3 wires to connect together. You can take the switch out and give it a shake and listen for the roller, then plug it back in and it might reset. |

I'm thinking "Pussys" I'll start sweating it when it starts snowing, this is just a diversion from the real news....Egypt being freed by the Islamic extremists, mark my word 5 years from now and we will see Egypt just like Iran. |

Hey Swampy isn't there a way to mount a Blast onto a snowboard for year 'round enjoyment? On a more serious note - my prayers go out to all of you dealing with this winter mess. Keep safe. |

so I want to know if anyone runs there blast without the TPS? I am about to attempt this with a carb swap. i want to know if the TPS really is needed for the bike. I am in the process of "chopping" my bike. I will post pics of the progress. i'm open to any suggestions |

Yep! Dont sweat it. Module just defaults to WOT without the TPS input. Your MGP might suffer. After you change the ignition you can install a VOES if you wish (which every other carb model bike uses). Its very doubtful you'll notice the difference of the TPS being gone. Have been running without for years. Welcome Dakatak87! |

There is a conversion kit for motocross type bikes, it comes with a big track and a ski for the front. There is a link in the quickboard to a youtube video. |

has anyone tried to put rear rubber on the front rim? will it fit the rim and will there be clearance for the forks? I am about to try this myself. i'll post pics and findings. or are there better choices to fit a wider/bigger front wheel. |

110/90 has fit, and so has 120/80 - I really wouldn't trust riding on them though - too far away from wheel spec for the tire for me safety wise. EZ |

Not a good idea to put a tire designed for the rear on the front or visa versa. Avon makes a 120/80 for front or universal fitment. AM26 I believe. |

K, so I'm running on Allen Parkway here in Houston around 16:30 today and I spy a black Blast westbound into downtown on Allen Parkway. Had an aftermarket exhaust and sounded awesome! Very percussive, it was almost like I could count each power stroke, just a pop-pop-pop-pop... The closest thing I can compare it to is my XB w/D&D but it was somehow, errr, less busy sounding? Would this be indicative of any of the non-stock Blast exhausts or is this characteristic of any in particular? I'm eventually going with the Jardine and this is unlikely to change my decision but I am curious. Thanks, Nels |

The Pro Series exhaust has a very laid back deep exhaust note. It set off car alarms often (no other Blast exhaust i've tried did). Its no longer available. |
