Nice Prof - that kick stand looks like it stands the bike straight up - optical illusion? Also - can you feel the wire wheels flex? EZ |

Yeah, chains are retro, look retro. But I was darn glad to be rid of them! I even converted my 84' Sportster to belt drive (and 150 series tire) before HD did! |

"Nice Prof - that kick stand looks like it stands the bike straight up - optical illusion? Also - can you feel the wire wheels flex? EZ" The kickstand doesn't stand the bike up. It has a "proper" lean. I haven't pushed the new bike hard enough to feel any flex in the wheels. Belt vs chain: I really liked the belt arrangement on the XB9S. Totally foolproof and no maintenance required. But I also liked the shaft drive on the Moto Guzzis I owned. The V7 Classic in black really does the eyes good. Their new "Racer" variant could be a good one, too. |

Just curious - I used to feel the bicycle wheels flex - so I don't trust wire wheels - lol EZ |

NEW look for the headlamp! Larger 7 inch size and a visor for style. Much better illumination as well. Safer AND cooler!
I also had some factory paint glitches fixed (under warranty), so here's an example of a nice job on the black side covers. The photographer is not a pro.

Okay, I promise these as the last Bullet photos for a while. I stopped at the dealer today and found they had the new pillion in stock. It was too easy a sale for them. Below are the before and after shots. India likes to use metal! The pillion is pretty solid and rests above the fender. To me this completes the bike, both in style and function. But that bare back fender still looks pretty cool.
Now I have a place to put the Cortech bag until I get a period correct piece:
This weekend will be a good opportunity to get it out and about.

Yes, look at the bottom of the shocks to see the "ramps" that are adjusted with a spanner. Mine are mid-level now. |

It's been a month since I put any Royal Enfield porn on the page. Today I put the upswept muffler on the Bullet, basically for looks, and some more volume. It's more traditional sounding now and not much louder than stock. Better breathing as well. A freer flowing air filter will be installed sometime soon. This is a fun bike with really quick handling. The new CA models are getting some good reviews.

No brakes? - surely not weak-assed drums? Clip-ons or clubmens would look better, unless the suicide boardtrack look was intentional - then it would be worthless on the street. Weird. EZ |

Well, weak assed drums are better than nothing (which it has). Besides, its an Enfield. How fast do you think its gonna go anyway!!! FWIW: I too hate the "artistic" bike builds. Missing lights or brakes which means its not even streetable. To me, that meant you just didnt have enough creativity to make it legal (even barely)! |

Apparently the above Enfield was built to the specs of a Bollywood actor in India. There are a couple other customs he has commissioned besides this. |

Hey, the Seattle Motorcycle show (put on by Flo at Progressive Insurance...) is this weekend. It gets smaller each year and I'll probably skip next year as I did last year. No show for BMW, Triumph, Ural, Enfield, but there were lots of vendors wanting to clean your eyeglasses or shine your chrome. Here are a few photos of thumpers you might like to see (maybe). I like the look and feel of this one: $3995 MSRP
Old school AJS
How about Italian?
2009 Enfield Electra sidehack
Same MSRP as the new Honda CBR. But I liked the ergonomics better.
