Still my favorite modified Blast - not mine - would be Terry Parsley of JTS Performance - that puppy has everything and is ultra light!
Though I've always liked this Crossroads Blast better than the LSR Crossroads Blast -
This isn't bad at all as a start - The Crossroads cruiser Blast was and is always nice. HD should have gone this route - EZ |

Oh - and when I say Terry's bike has everything - I really mean that - if it was on your go fast list - Terry's bike has probably seen it! - lol EZ |

i remember just the motor for that landspeed blast being the background on terry's laptop when it was just in its infancy stages(i dont think it was real far along anyway). we were busy doing the xb exhaust shootout but i kept thinking there must be something up with that thing. otherwise why would he have a blast motor as the background on his comp, and why would it have a strait pipe on it?! he finally said what was going on with it. damn he got some power out of that thing! puts some big twins to shame it does! That's why I like and admire Terry - he's always thinking! He'd definitely would be the man to dial in an FI Blast - lol - any bike for that matter. EZ |

Woohoo - picking up a blue 2008 with 34,000 miles on it for 492 bucks! finally the rest of the parts I need for my project! A total runner, great shifting, motor good - a trashed V&H - almost all the miles are freeway commuting miles - looks like it was dropped once, however, the plastic still looks to be 90% good or better. The maroon traded it for a Sportster - lol EZ |

Hey guys, I think I kinda overdid it while refilling the oil last week and now I have a oil leaking around the air intake. The oil lamp is still on when the motor is not running (that might be normal ?) and I was wondering if that is bad for the bike. Should I drain some oil ? |

Drain all the oil and refill with 1 quart (more than 1 1/2 qts will be over full). The oil will eventually drain into the crankcase the longer the bike sits, so drain it after at least starting the engine and running it a minute. The light should be on when the engine is not running. If its on while the engine is running, then you have a problem. It is bad for the bike. |

Sounds to me like the oil is finding its own level - how much over do you think it is? Normal for the lamp. EZ |

Maroon - because he didn't know what he had. Because that bike is a hummer - the tension-er was the only sound - probably had it factory the whole time - it will be a great addition of parts to help me set up my projects - lol EZ |

"Kinda overdid" ? several ounces or 1 quart or more? (it only takes 1 1/2qts on an oil change & between the lines on the dipstick is maybe 8 ounces). It is true that it will find its own level eventually, but way too much oil can cause problems that wont go away. |

On the dipstick I'm about 50% over, so if it takes 1.5 quarts to fill it to the max line, I would be about .75 over. |

I tried to honk but it sounded so quietly than normal. The bike has been sitting for along time so I assumed it was the battery. Is there a way to "jump start" it or charge the battery without bringing it to the shop? I just wish my Blast had a kick start. About the gun shooting sound. To make it clear. It sounds like machine gun with out bullets. So it just load clicking sound repeat rapidly like machine gun ^^. And the bike wouldn't start. Thank you. Charge battery, then if you get back fire, check/change boot. EZ |

Sounds like a dead battery too. Buy a "Battery Tender Jr." and leave your bike plugged in when sitting for long periods of time. The plug will also work for an electric vest! If its not possible to ever leave you bike plugged in, then spend your money on a battery charger as the "Battery Tender" isnt good for quick charging or jump starting. You can jump start your bike just dont do it with a car thats running. A motorcycle is okay. You may also have a bad ground or loose battery cable. PS You dont want to kick start a Blast. But you can try push starting it. In 2nd or 3rd gear and disconnect the headlight. Pulling the plug is the best way, but you can pull the fuse instead (the fuse is delicate, breaks easy, so be sure to have a spare on hand). |

Thanks EZ. Great information Gearheaderiko. I'll do it tomorrow and report you guys the result. Is this the Battery Tender Jr. that you suggested sir? http://batterytender.com/battery-tender-junior-12v -at-0-75a.html My Blast is truly a "badweather" one: Carburetor, speedometer, and now battery. Gave me all kinds of knowledge. ^^. |

Ride down to Jasper, AR. Patty's Blast "XT" did pretty well. With the Jardine and jetting she kept up much better this year and blew the doors off some Harleys.

Blue Skies and 80's - my kind of weather Made it over to Daytona for Biketoberfest. Usually stay away from the crazy crap on Main Street but had to make a pass with the new video camera. And for arguments sake, I was NOT trying to run those cops over! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJl51jftO-k |

I'm sure they both will be "barely legal" LOL! I forgot how loud it is! My hope is to have at least one track/race ready, but in streetable form. That way I can lend it out if need be without spending a week prepping it. Nevertheless I want them both running! |

PS I dont remember if I mentioned it, but when you stiffen up the front mount (like when installing the updated mount), it really makes the tank cover rattle! |
