Someone is showing off their new CrossRoads. They are so purty... (make sure you lok-tite the toe pieces in. Or you could find yourself staying in one gear all the way home/hardware store. Not that it has happened to me or anything, just seems like a smart thing to do...) |

LOL yup, xroads shift and brake toe pieces do have lock tite on them. I believe I read it somewhere in the forum to do so. I can see how they can vibrate loose pretty easily without them. |

You know for awhile I wanted to sell it so I "fixed" it up to make it more marketable. Now, I'm just too deep into it. I love they way it rides, runs and looks--its a keeper. |

Way fun looking bike - I'll be changing my fairing and look a bit as I shuffle parts, throw on the Profi - clip-ons - the Jotas for my project. With them the barend signals and CRG mini-mirrors - and that should do for a while - incorporating some modern lighting touches and blending some looks, while still being ultra-light. Thats truly a great looking cafe though, just awesome. I know in time the suspension too will change - enjoy! EZ |

Here is another update. I decided I wanted a more aggressive riding position so I re-adjusted the raask. It now looks even more like a true Cafe Racer, i think. Also, I had a tail guard thing I've had sitting around and decided to throw that on too: (Message edited by Mataleao on August 23, 2010) |

Very unique looking (in a good way). However, my knee caps pop just looking at the seat to pegs distance! |

Thanks. Yeah the bike is definitely tailored to me and would be quite uncomfortable to ride for anyone else. But just in case, someone would NEED to ride it other than me, I have an unmodified standard low seat ready to mount. |

Nice Tony and welcome! PS Disconnect the EPA charcol canister ASAP. It will eventually cause your bike to die or not start or other running problems (if it hasnt done so already). Seriously. Plug the large (PCV) hose. Plug the "to carb" hose and leave the "to tank" hose unplugged. It all can be done at the canister (or more neatly done in more than the 5 minutes it will take to do it this way). My apologies if you have already done this and just decided to leave the canister on the bike. |

I was torn between gold, black or red wheels for my bike. In the end I decided black since it doesn't require much cleaning. It looks good on yours. Good job. *switch out those stock Dunlops for Perillis when funds are available. Those Dunlops took forever to warm up and even when warm they still felt hard and not as grippy compared to the new tires. |

Welcome Tony - ditch the Dunlops and you'll be cool. EZ |

+1 re: ditching Dunlops Pirelli's MT75 (factory equipment on newer Blasts) are very cheap and will improve your riding experience in a big way. EZ could offer many other alternatives. But whatever you do, lose the Dunlops. I think they're dangerous. |
