Milt - sorry, I was kinda vague with that post. I was replying to you saying that you couldn't stand riding more than 20 minutes on the stock seat. Look at my profile picture, I was joking about it because while my seat looks cool and flows with the bike, there is 5~6 inches of foam removed from directly under where you sit LoL |

TNT – been so long since I’ve ridden 129, thanks for the video What section of the road were you riding on? How are the road repairs coming? Hope ya’ll are getting’ back to normal up there. EZ – had to look up some pics of Morgan Territory Road, very cool. Reminds me a little of the farm roads or ranch road we explored out in Texas, only with a little more WOW! Factor. Gotta know - what kind of speeds are ya doin’ and what kind of “traffic” do you encounter? Would love to see ride video of that gem. Jen – I have heard many, many good things about the Corbin. Other options include a Rick Meyer which I have. I sent my pan to him with pics of me sitting on bike, feet up, feet down and inseam measurements, saddle is made to order. I’m good for a long day, no complaints. One thing I have learned is what works for one, may not for another, so if at first you don’t succeed… |

OK, the old guy in Michigan got really busy this weekend, call me stupid, I know, but I just sorta kinda like it when she smiles at me....so here we are, barefoot, lakeside with the sand dunes in the backgound.
We had some Japanese guests in attendance, and Trisha's father has alot of ties to Japan, so instead of a wedding cake I had a Christmas Cake made up. The reason is in Japan there is a saying "An unmarried woman after 25 is like a Christmas Cake after Christmas, nobody wants it" So as proof that somebody wanted this one....
Unfortunately it did not make the ride to the lake as well as the rest of us.... OK, now back to business! |

I just wanted to thank everyone for there help with my turn signal problem. I finally got the right flasher and the turn signals work now but they blink really fast. Any thoughts on why? Again thanks for the help. Jen |

Are they LCD's? If so,you may need to change out the Flasher relay. American Spots Bike have the relevant unit. Good luck with it. Chris C |

Thanks guys, like I have said before, I am so happy I am still crying myself to sleep at night (of course the testosterone replacement shots should take care of that problem soon) No Rice, I see you have some tires stocked up, those should still be good if you can keep the mosquitos from laying larve in them. |

Mag - besides the usual country and woodland obstacles and the seldom on coming traffic - bicyclists being the big thing to always look out for - average speed between 30 to 60 - mostly in the midrange - on the Blast, though difficult, is relaxing, on the CR its a work out - lol - I figure its the Tires on the CR - did all the adjustments, going to be a Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs - I hear their response is much better, but in the mean time, pulling the CR over is going to be a Hans and Franz thing - on a good number of the tight twisties, Thomas though does a really good job on them on his XBSCG - joys of learning a new bike. The Blast has always been quicker and easier to ride on that road. On the regular twisties they come off the same time-wise because you can so easily power out of the corner making up for the more inertia breaking entering - I always try to go for the least amount of breaking possible. Congrats Swampy! Looks like you had a great day getting even closer to your lovely lady No Rice - Good to see things didn't get TOO wet. I know ALL too well how flooding goes. Living here in the Red River Valley we are almost annually on the national news for our REEDIKULOUS flooding (Obama even felt the need to make a stop here this spring...oh joy...). It MAJORLY sucks, but it's just water...things dry out LoL keep your head up and FINISH THAT DANG BIKE!!!! |

QUESTION: Took Thumper to get new shoes on the rear. Bike ran great to the shop. They put new tire on the rear and bragged about how well it ran on test drive. On the way home, engine sounds like it's misfiring. Running rough. It has a new boot and a new airfilter. Is there anything that could have gotten screwed up when they lifted the bike or took off the wheel/belt that would make it run poorly? |

BTW, retightened the boot and checked airfilter placement. Will check ground on battery in am. |

Rainman: I cant think of much they could've screwed up by changing a tire. But the the fact that they mentioned to you how good it ran, makes me suspicious..... The kickstand safety switch is very close to that area. If they picked it up in the wrong place or ??? |

All I can think of is that they picked it up in an odd spot. They've worked on a couple of local Blasts and remarked how awful they ran. That's why they commented on mine. It did run good for about two miles and then started acting up. Does the Blast have a throttle position sensor like my Corolla that adjusts response to the way the rider uses the throttle? I don't the B has complicated enough fuel system for that. |

If the kickstand switch was crimped or something, would it be intermittent, cause misfiring? Do I replace it or can I circumvent it? |

You can remove the switch from the equation by jumping the wires with a paper clip and taping it up. I would be checking the spark plug wire, they seem to get overlooked, especially since the first thing the good shop practices tells you is to remove spark plug wire from the plug(Good safety advice on anything, but you have to remember to put it back on) |

I dislike idiot switches. Both my kickstand and clutch were circumvented long ago. |

Erik - I see I under estimated you. I was hoping that the SoCal SLO group forgot about my little "detour". Apparently your memory is at lease as good as Chris' (who has witnessed a few to many of my close calls). It's been a while since I've been on BadWeb. Hope everyone is doing well. Kind of miss the Blast, and definitely miss the forum. Regards, Daris |

Hey-I didnt name names As I remember it, it wasnt that you couldnt make the turn, you were just too worried about (a certain) someone behind you and opted for the safest way out. Hey, I did the same thing in a previous SLO ride when I became far too worried that I ran over a squirrel. We (the squirrel & I) both survived!!! |

Yes, the Blast has a Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) like your Corrolla. But its more of just an on/off switch for the spark advance and while it can be annoying, it shouldnt make your bike run seriously bad. |
