HA! She was cute, but more than that, she was really friendly. Somewhat uncommon here in Brooklyn. Not looking for love, just a fellow Blaster to ride with. |

(Re-post as it got archived, and I'm still looking for the answer Anybody know the girl who owns this bike? I chatted with her briefly tonight, but forgot to swap info, see if she wants to ride together. Brooklyn, NY; Park Slope area, Bergen Street. Black Blast with a Vance & Hines pipe, drop bars, no windscreen, custom red and black seat, red wheels, #3 on a number plate on the rear bodywork, New York plates.

Hi All, Going on a semi-long road trip tomorrow. There is a ferry called the Lake Express (lake-express.com) that runs from Milwaukee, WI to Muskegon, MI. The ride from Chicago to Milwaukee will be about 1.5 hours, and the ferry ride will be another 2.5 hours. I "could" ride straight through from Chicago to Muskegon, but then I'd have to go through Indiana, and who wants to do that? Plus, on the ferry ride I can sleep and rest up for a full day of riding. My proposed path is as follows below - I'll try to hit 4 - 5 State Parks in MI before taking the ferry back to Milwaukee and riding back home to Chicago. Should make for a very full day. The exciting news is that I've outfitted my bike now with the tail bag I already had, a cargo net bungee deal to secure aforesaid tail bag (almost lost the tail bag riding my Y*m*ha fazer the other day), a cheap tank bag (almost sure it's made by costco, but it's called motogear or something like that), and the stubby powerlet converter to power my cell phone/GPS. I'll post pictures and videos when I get back. Ride safe this week, everyone! Copy and paste for route: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Muskegon,+MI&daddr=Muskegon+State+Park,+Muskegon,+Michigan+49441,+49445+(Muskegon+State+Park)+to:N+Scenic+Dr+to:Ludington+State+Park+to:charles+mears+state+park,+mi+to:Silver+Lake+State+Park+(Michigan)+to:muskegon,+mi&hl=en&geocode=FYWzkwIdOPTb-inZnj2pw3wZiDFAJfc0kTV-JA%3BFf7ikwIda4Pa-iE6Yt6AuIvCTA%3BFShelQId5obZ-g%3BFQT1nwIdrBTY-iEHD8ZEIR0bTQ%3BFesXnAIdxxDZ-iF3O6apYklLnynHdvbq8ggciDE6Zi5TdXyR_A%3BFXx2mgId-9bX-iHIvdMTdNoCKA%3B&mra=ls&via=2&sll=43.621662,-86.439743&sspn=0.145393,0.264702&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=43.697665,-86.275635&spn=1.187486,2.90863&z=9 (Message edited by andychang on May 03, 2010) (Message edited by andychang on May 03, 2010) |

Share pics when you get back! I've driven up the east coast of Michigan along Lake Huron, the roads run within feet of the shoreline for most of the way up. Gorgeous. |

Hey Guys! My wife is running in the Relay for Life. I threw her donation link up on the main quick board. The Relay for Life is a function of the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research Fund. Any help is greatly appreciated. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/561352.html?1273025754 Thanks! |

WESTERN michigan rules. i am unsure about the rest of the state, but the detroit area i have mixed feelings about. on the one hand, the Lebanese food is excellent. on the other - the lions are a broke assed team with broke assed fans. i almost considered getting season tickets in the roar zone for 30$ bucks per game just to watch them play good teams. but that would be too much traveling week in and week out. i'll still make it to my yearly bears at lions game on december 5 though. |

The funny thing about Detroit is that one of the candidates running for governor said that there is "no hope for Detroit" Apparently many blocks of empty neighborhoods are being returned to farmland. It is a tragedy due to the many decades of corruption by the city officals, that a once grand city of the future is in ruins. I might have to work down there next week at a Tigers game and I am not looking forward to it, but atleast I will be safe

Hey guys, I believe I need to tighten the drum bolts on my Blast. I keep getting a false neutral while riding. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this repair? |

it is pretty straight forward. Remove primary cover, you need a locking tool to loosen the crankshaft nut, and a 250 ft lb torque wrench to retighten the nut and some red locktite. There are a few things you should do while in there, chamfer the edge of the plate that holds the stator wires down and then glue them in place with silicone, either replace the pins on the shifter drum or JB Weld them inplace, and adjust the shifter pawl. |

Knocked down about 60 miles today. Think I am finally thru the last of the bad gas. Ran into a husband and wife on Foothills parkway, she was on a 03 yellow Blast he was on harley. Was talking and said her Blast would not keep rear turn signals working for more than a few days without blowing out. I told them about the Badweb and that they could prob get good answers here. EZ, Gearhead, and Swampy I mentioned you 3 as really knowing your stuff on the Blast. hope you guys do not mind. Anyways saving up for jardine and rest of Dan's intake. JOhn |

Hey all, let's not forget that even though Erik Buell Racing will be at Infineon Raceway this weekend that we have some Blasters competing at Willow Springs this weekend as well. Let' s root them all on!! Steve Slaughter did quite well last month. Let's hope he or another Badwebber can do well this weekend. |
