Please use a padded envelope, otherwise in a regular envelope, the parts will get ripped out by the sorting machine. |

I was going to post this in the other top case thread but the search doesn't seem to be working at the moment. Few top cases on eBay. It's the universal monorack with the monkey plate and choice of top box I believe. http://motors.shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_dmptZMotor cyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories?_nkw=givi+blast&_saca t=&_trksid=p4506.m270.l1313&_odkw=givi+rack&_osaca t=__0 |

I think I have come up with an original mod for the Blast. I have the stock headlight on, but I wanted to go for a different look. So I took the headlight off of the brackets, and then I flipped the brackets upside down. Once I flipped them, I had to put the left on the right and vise versa. So now, my stock headlight is about 3-4 inches higher up to where the top of the light is up against the back of the speedometer gauge. By doing this, I covered up all the wiring that was exposed when I took the stock windscreen off. So now I have a trick headlight that shows off more of the front end and hides all wires and connectors in near the headtube. I will post pictures as soon as I can take them. The only problem I had was that the stock blinkers would not fit, with the spacer on the inside of the headlight bracket, like I had them previously. So all I did was epoxy the blinker to the bracket until I get some aftermarket LED blinkers that only have a nut on them instead of an inch long spacer. Hope anyone that cannot afford a new headlight or dual set up finds this mod useful, as I think I'm the first to do it! I thought it was pretty clever and easy to do, especially if you have aftermarket blinkers. Thanks guys! |

$400 to $500 bucks should do it. I checked on a red set to replace my yellow set a while back and that is about what I remember it costing. White is rare and when one does show up on Ebay it usually goes for top dollar. |

Anyone ever tried spray on truck bed liner (aka Line-X) on the Blast bodywork? Looking to change Lil Blastard to flat black. Options are: - Spray the yellow plastics with flat black paint. It'll chip and wear, probably pretty quickly. Not pretty. - Buy black plastics and have them lightly media blasted to give it a flat finish. Expensive. - Have the existing plastics painted with Line-X bedliner. Should be damn near bulletproof, and only cost a couple hundred bucks, if that. |

If you prep the surface right and spray it right it wont chip. the key is proper suface prep, sanding/scuffing the plastic right, wiping it down and using adhesion premoter. and also spraying more than a single thin cover coat. build up thickness by using bout 3 light mist coats latting them tack up between coats and then a good 2 wet coats. let cure for at least a week I've seen line-x'd blasts and I dont like the look... thats why mines shiny and red |

ahh I knew I was going to get hounded for the damn duncraps. I haven't been riding due to road work near our neighborhood...So I have been putting it off. Is $60 good for mounting and balancing? I bought the tires months ago...I think the AM63's are going to change the whole bike! |

Texasrockerguy, I was in Killeen a few years back visiting my daughter when she lived out there. Gosh I miss that place, I remember the grass being all brown this time of year and how warm it was. Gosh I miss that place. It just seemed like a different planet. Are you employed on the base? You are going to feel the difference when you get those Avon tires on. Have fun. |

Hey Rob, I was born and raised in Copperas Cove which is about 5 minutes from Killeen and Fort Hood. I am a civilian living in Killeen, and I work at Texas A&M Central Texas...our newest college in the area..Its pretty damn cold here, but its been in the high 50s the last couple months..Its funny how you say its like a different planet. I think that all the time when we go to Galveston or New Orleans! I have to admit, most of us natives hate the base and 90% of the amry douchebags around. My dad is a retiree so I'm not trash talkin the DoD, but any person that lives around an army town like Fort Hood knows that there are 20 dirtbag G.I.'s for every 1 good soldier. But anyways, I have had the avons for like two months now and I still haven't gotten to put them on. I hate the squirrely dunlops!! |
