We are making the best of it, the three of us rode the trolley downtown and went shopping. Then the Love of My Life and I walked down the street to a restaurant on the beach, then afterwards we walked back home via the beach picking up seashells pausing to kiss, because thats how we roll....LOL Britchri10, I would look you up but the little girlie is such a homebody, she doesn't even want to go see Micky Mouse! So it will have to be when the little girlie isn't with us. |

Yahoo! Clutch is rebuilt and I'm Blasting on the Dark side once again! The energy one clutch is awesome and hooks up the motor faster making everything else go faster - a very nice addition! Boy I'm happy that it all has gone smoothly! EZ |

Swampy, Why were you kissing seashells? et. al. For those who've re-routed the PCV to a breather filter under the seat, does it blow oily goo into that compartment?? Thanks in advance!! _____________________ Firing order: 1 |

Unfortunately, no. I'll keep hanging on. I don't want to trade my Blast, and I couldn't make it work with the dollars they wanted to give me for it ($1000). So, I will keep it, and wait another 12 or 24 months to get an XB, or something else at that time. Trying to stick to our Dave Ramsay plan, and avoid debt at all costs |

Does the Blast have a bank angle sensor? If yes, where and how do I bypass it? I dumped my Blast 6 times on the highway due to poorly plowed roads yesterday, and now I think I got an issue with the BAS. |

Yes, it does have a BAS (exc.2000). One way is to fill it full of rtv silicone and seal the ball in place. The other (recommended) way is to connect 2 of the 3 wires together. I cant remember which two, but if you test the wires and tilt the sensor, you'll find that out or/and read the schematic. Its just behind and to the right of the positive battery terminal (under the seat) at/under the 'crossmember' of the frame rails. There is a cut out in the tail plastic for it. There are pictures and the procedure probably somewhere here on Badweb, but its pretty basic. If I remember correctly the power runs through the BAS and all the BAS does is interrupt the circuit (cut power). PS Its a "smart switch" which means that when the sensor is tripped, you must turn the bike off to reset it. Use the key to turn it off. |

The CR is in for work. The stator is being replaced. Dash kept going off, battery light kept coming on, and the engine light wouldn't go off. I got the higher bar kit. They are also double checking a couple of things for me. I don't think they bled the clutch when they replaced the higher bars, thus it is now hard to shift. they are checking. after the first 600 mile checkup, I couldn't find any oil on the dipstick at the house. they said it must not be checked cold, only hot. they are fixing the too short wires for the front blinkers with the new bar kit. I should get it back in a week or so. REX |

Knock on wood - mines been stone cold reliable - even did two months of commuting. Just working on the corners - found a killer back road to Walnut Creek, am working it - think the North part of 9 before 35, or the end of 35 approaching 17 - for the type of fun I'm about. The rain's been slowing me down though - lol EZ |

well it's almost time to head home from Iraq. When I get home I will post some pics. Now if my bonus check would get deposited I'd buy new pipes intake carb boot and tires. I cannot wait to fire up the old blast and hit the dragon again. John |
