Must have been too dark. Jack is usually shooting photos of bikes, with people riding in and out of the parking lot. REX |

So i took the Blast out for a ride on Jan 27, 40 degrees and sunny that day in central Maine. If i get a ride in in Feb that will be a year straight that i rode at least once a month, pray for a least one good day! Left the new Firebolt in the garage to rest for her big trip to bikeweek in Daytona Beach in a few short weeks! |

I am in Fort Wayne tonight, The ISP was supposed to be messing things up at the garage I am going to tomorrow but they chickened out due to the winter weather warnings so they are staying in Indy where they belong. Winter sucks, but now the wait for warmer weather is soo much more tolerable. Summer is coming, summer is coming! I am going to Anna Maria, FL next week, I'm not even excited about that. I shoveled the driveway twice this week and actually enjoyed it, some strange sense of pride came over me while shoveling(maybe it was a stroke?). Big Bobby(my basement roommate) broke his leg snowmobiling Sunday, he was so hopped up on pain meds he didn't even know what city he was in for two days, it was a bad break, its going to take two surgeries to fix it. His Kanatuna is sitting in my garage staying warm till he gets walking again. When the weather gets right I will move the snow blower to the back of the garage and the bikes to the front. |

Yes, are you ISP? On a Waaay cooler note..... What happens when you add the following ingredients to a 7 year old?
Can it be considered child abuse? Then my Waaaay cool Italian girlfriend bought me another motorcycle today, yep you guessed it, a Ducati Monster.....she's the greatest!

Yeah, well it needs a battery, so I call up the Big Kid, and tell him Trish bought it for me for my birthday, so I ask him for a battery for a Ducati Monster, he starts with "Let me look up, uh, Yuasa..." I razzed him Yuasa doesn't make a battery, thats just an excuse to go to the bike shop and waste money and spend time spilling acid all over your clothes, why don't you guys get a real battery to sell. Hes still looking up a battery for it...LOL |

how is everybody, I got a little riding in today. New cams must be working great. I went approx. 200 miles no problems. I do however have a new question does anybody have a green blast aside from the John Deere dirt/show bike? I've been thinking a deep dark emerald green would look good with little metal flake in it, however not so sure on how to go about making it so. Any thoughts? (kinda thinking vinyl wrapped plastics) I don't think painting the plastics is the way to go. Any advise always much appreciated. |

Why the fear of painting plastic? Just about every car made in the last 20 years has painted plastic bumpers. Many are made of the exact same material as the Blast bodywork. Talk to your local body shop supply guys, they can get you the correct material and you can get whatever flake you want. Jump in, it can always be repainted. Learn a new skill, it's winter time! I saw something very unexpected yesterday. I was working the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center booth at the international motorcycle show in MPLS. As I cut through the Harley display, I slowed down to check out the new bikes and did a double take at the bike that was prominently positioned dead center of their display area. A little yellow Blast. Actually it didn't say blast anywhere on it. Just "Buell" on the sides of the tank. It was one of those "I wish I had my camera" moments. |

Why would anyone want to buy an American made entry level motorcycle that is cheap to insure & run in THIS economy? Clearly the marketing director in the Twin Cities is out of touch.... |

Man, the thought of that poor blast. Being paraded around by a bunch of a-holes like that. Someone's gotta spring her. |

That's really cool Swampy, I remember I used to have a Tide car. The kind you pedal with your feet and levers on each side for your hands to turn, I would get goin pretty good on it and then push and pull the levers in opposite directions to "drift" around on my street. |

I am heading to Florida tomorrow, I am leaving the cold weather of Michigan and taking it with me to sunny Florida. I will sent a "Post" card when I get there from Anna Maria Island. I have been packing and my fingers are ice cold thinking about it going form 18 or so to a balmy 50..... |

I thought it was a good deal so I just snagged it. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like. I'll probably put it on when the weather gets a little warmer. |

Damnut: that is a steal for the $$$. Swampy: Sunny Florida is currently in the 30's overnight and looks to stay in the 30's-50's for the next week or so. Thx for bringing your temp's w/you! (LOL) Chris C |

VERY NICE! Probably the quietest, best looking and best sounding (imho) Blast exhausts. Not obnoxious, but will set off car alarms due to its low bass tone. I consider it a great exhaust for a stock Blast. Unfortunately it doesnt lend itself well to more than basic engine mods or I'd be kicking myself for not seeing it! Like Pro Series intakes, I've seen them sell high! Nice find. PS 74 degrees today! |

I figured that someone would have bought it for the $150. This was the first time I've seen a Buell exhaust on the Bay and since it was brand new I had to have it. I thought it was a great score. I have seen the Pro-Series intake go for some big $$$. Speaking of intakes, I think I am going to need to do something with mine when I slap this baby in. Besides the K&N it is completely stock. |

Damnut, check into Thumpe aka Dan Whaley's intake. Usually found on E-Pay but you can find his posts on here somewhere and I think he might even give a discount on shipping to fellow badwebbers. |

+1 on Sycho's comment. The Thumpe setup works very well on my Blast. I have a Jardine RT1 w/quiet module insert. Chris C |

Britchri10, Dang dude, did you guys forget to pay the heat bill last month? Its colder than Hell in Michigan, but gosh, I subject my nekkid body to the scrutiny of the TSA and this is what I get?....What the heck! Now this can't be all my fault, some asstard clown in Grand Rapids, where it was snowing this morning, was wearing sandals, shorts a tee shirt and a straw beach cowboy hat, thats the bastard that jinxed it, not me! It's a beautiful little island, and I would really rather be living here then in Michigan. I had lunch out on the fishing pier and the waves were gently rocking the building. I am going to hit the beach early in the morning to go shell collecting, I am hoping to find a whole silver dollar. I have an open invite in Englewood to go out on a boat to look at the dolphins if the wind dies down, they have problems getting the boat out of the canal if the wind is blowing, so hopefully the wind will die down and the temps will rise..... My girly wants to come back in July or August to enjoy some real hot temps. |
