Did you re-foam the seat, or just re-cover it? There's so much super-soft foam in the OEM seat, I wonder how much you can take out, build it back up with stiffer stuff, then maybe wrap with gel-type or high density foam. I'm sure there are threads in the thumper kv on this, but since you are here now...... |

Texas, Sweet! I'm digging the blacked out wheels, y-brackets, etc. She looks lean and mean. |

That's what I did, Fahren. Reshaped the seat foam and replaced a lot of it with Sargent's supercell foam. If you can't afford to let them redo your seat, they're cool enough to sell the foam to the DIY types. As for a new cover, you can find a a lot of places online selling vinyl and leather. |

I personally didnt replace any of the foam. But with the old seat cover off, you could pretty much do whatever you wanted to, taking into account you will need enough vinyl to wrap around more foam. I was going to get a thick piece of memory foam (tempur-pedic) but my budget ran out after three sets of $9.99 Dremel cutting wheels and 4 cans of $5 BBQ paint, $10 can of spray adhesive, etc etc..hah! |

You are probably going to need to get an exhaust gasket. They can be had just about anywhere Harley-Davidson type motorcycles are sold. It is a direct fit Sportster part, ask for it by name and the person at the counter can probably turn around and pick two off the wall from the "V-Twin" gasket board. |

If it makes y'all feel better I am blessed with only one name. It makes filling out job applications in the US interesting to say the least! So, if I score +1 for my name (within the confines of this game) does that mean I am batting a thousand! Ride safe Chris C |

You'd think I would have a screen name like yours, Britchri, given my name. What's the 10 for (good buddy ? |

It's just an identifier to separate me from all the other "britchri" screen names on my e-mail providers site. I'm a lazy so-and-so and just based the screen name on my e-mail address! Later, Chris C |
