Thanks for the info Blastronomer - I'll check out that page. I installed superbike bars and bar-end mirrors yesterday. Also shortened my turn signal mounts and modified that big black plastic license plate holder thing. Looks good, feels right & everything still works! |

Superbike bars- on. Traction grips - mounted. K&N air filter - installed. My friends said "man, stop messin' with all that motorcycle stuff." But I told them "it's just for fun, it's only a little bit, I know what I'm doing." Then my wife informed me that she read in Us Weekly that "new handlebars and grips are considered gateway mods and if you don't slow down you'll get yourself in trouble." It's BS, right? I mean, it's not like I HAVE to put put a new exhaust on it. Maybe I just want to. (Message edited by Blastronomer on January 02, 2010) |

Gateway mods... that's funny. She's right. Next thing you know you'll be fabricating some rearsets. |

You can stop anytime you like..... Its not a problem unless it interferrs with your work.... Ezblast, I am on episode 3, my girlfriend is taking notes, we are stopping every so often to discuss the plot, man is this great! Remember, it is very very cold where I am at right now, my garage is insulated and I just picked up my long ago loaned out Kerosene heater. |

Happy New year all from sunny Florida. ( Below freezing overnight for the next week, so no riding for a while ) Since I last posted I have become the proud owner of a '99 X1. It's a project bike and is currently undergoing repair to address a rake of issues. Once I have it up and running I will post some pic's along with shots of the Blast. ( I'm keeping the Blast! ) Later, Chris C |

Just installed new foot pegs from Knight Design. Thanks EZ! The foot pegs are really nice, a little longer than stock.

FYI: Someone is selling a set of XB stock camshafts (comparable to Andrews B70's) for $100 (or maybe less?) at the Badweb classifieds. I did email him to see if they were still available, but I havent heard back yet. I dont need them. |

Hey Erik it is good to see you back, Happy New Year by the way. Just wanted to say I saw a total of 4 Buell's out on the roads on Sat. I was pretty amazed, usually don't see that many in one day unless it's at a meet-up or an event. The first two I saw were at an opposing stop light in the Chino Hills area, it was a White Buell Blast and a Black Lightning. Then later the same day I saw an older Charcoal S-1 riding with a Black FireBolt on the Northbound 15 fwy. Sure made my day to see other Buellers out there enjoying the day. |

XB cams are still available $100 or ? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 516332.html?1262739327 and some other parts that will work if you're wanting to bolt on an XB top end to your Blast or just want some good, cheap cams for an upgrade. |

Thanks..I'm a WCC nut...thats the only reason for the decals, and I have a pair of AM63's in my garage waitin on me to put em on...cheapest I can find to get them mounted and balanced around here is $60 bucks..and I spent around $45 doing the chop and the seat...Thanks Indy! |

I LOVE WCC too, CFL bro, the only reason I said to loose them from the Blast is they would garner even more sh*t-giving from the average artard. |

If you have a 2" receiver or garage space, check the below changer out. It will pay for it's self in 10 tire changes if the shops are charging you $60 for a pair. http://www.webbikeworld.com/r4/cycle-hill-motorcyc le-tire-changer/ They even show the Blast rear wheel on the changer with pulley and rotor still installed. http://www.cyclehilltirechanger.com/products/home You could then let friends change their own tires for a small fee. Thanks guys! I appreciate all the input! Thanks KUSTOM..though I must admit, having EZ think my seat is tight too...that made my day! It was so dan easy..more of yall should give it a try...I wanted some old brown leather but that vinyl was a steal..even at $16 a square yard. Could I be the only blast out there with a gator seat????? |

I think you may be the first LoL. One of my favorite mods was re-covering the Blast's seat with some RED kinda square sheet mesh vinyl. Having the seat different on a bike makes a HUGE noticeable difference. I'm doing the XB's seat in ostrich (look) leather this spring |

That's awesome. As a matter of fact, the fabric store my wife dragged me to had the same vinyl I used, but they also had it in RED instead of brown...so its like a red and black gator skin...looks pimp but too pimp for me!! I thought about using this old leather bomber jacket but I couldn't bring myself to cut it up...but yea I think it turned out well, considering vinyl will age better in the elements...as I CAMPDRY'd the shit out of the seat before I put it on, so hopefully it will do well. |

the red seat would look pimp with a red strip on your wheels or red accents on the cylinder |
