Let me be the first to congratulate the guy for building something that people are bidding to that level. I hope he gets what he's asking. _____________________ Firing order: 1 |

Let me be the first to congratulate the guy for building something that people are bidding to that level. I hope he gets what he's asking. True, it's nice to see anyone willing to bid that high on a 2002 Blast, but the only nice thing I see is the continuity of line from the tank to the passenger peg brackets, from having modified the seat. But even that has been done before by others here in "American Thumper" section. Mostly just nice photography - but did you notice that the left side of the bike is not pictured? What if it's like Two-Face in Batman!?! |

LOL - the bike got dropped, damaged,so they bobed it - I still have pictures of the original - lol - most of the work done on the bike was done to the motor. EZ |

Yeah - they probably dropped it on the other side. Modified the stockpegs - put the passenger pegs on the riders position, removing the damaged Crossroads units and just selling the hangers on Ebay - the tires are Barracudas - lousy in the rain, but as sticky as a Pirrelli in the dry stuff. The headwork is a Tuber worked and massaged Thunderstorm head, B50 cam, etc - early era mods - it did get an article written up about it in the early Buell quarterly that was being published at the time. No work done inside engine or transmission, i.e. this bike is very reliable mechanically. EZ, I don't get it - if the buyer did work on the engine to improve performance as you say, why would he write this on the ebay description?! |

"were not bashing the seller.. were bashing the goon bidding almost double what its worth" snip "wow 10k build and it still has sock bars.. ugh" Not sure what 'sock bars' (laundry apparatus?) are but I don't see the bidder being bashed. Let's assume you're right though and mentions of two-face and the mostly just nice photography or lol's or stock Dunlops, paint, cheap air filter, (the travesty of it all!!) never happened. Is it really that bothersome to so many that someone out there is willing to bid on this guy's project?? SHould I be angry too?? Maybe I should... That swine! WHo does HE tHInK he IS, spenDING his MuNney liek DAT! I'll bring pitchforks and somebody can bring torches, we can upend this guy and whip 'im wit a drivebelt. That;s wut wheel do! Woop the Hole Bloddy Lot o' 'em! We won't be able to light the torches unless somebody's mom lets us have matches. But we'll git 'im good anyhow. ______________________ Firing order: 1 |

The second owner doesn't know the details, just that work was done in a certain amount. Even the second owner of the crossroads chopper showed how little he knew about his bike when he put it up for sale on Ebay. That bike would have sold for more, if the guy had known of all its modifications. EZ |

$4,249 high bid, did not meet reserve. So I guess the seller can "lern-up" on his bike and try again. Going to give him a clue about what was done to modify it, EZ? I think all Blastards could gain from a high-price, high profile sale of a Blast. I wonder what was the highest price ever paid for a Blast or Blast-based bike. |

Hey guys, is there a good thread with pictures and details on the carb boot replacement? I got the service manual, I just want something to supplement it and make it easier to figure out. I picked up one of those super boots on ebay a while back, just have been too lazy to put it on. |

Froggy, ditto what EZ and 1075 said. Over-lean condition can burn valves and hole pistons. The boot is almost as easy to change as the spark-plug. _____________________ Firing order: 1 |
