GH Riko got to it before I could. AS for price, that's about what the sum of the individual pieces would run. They're a bit more spendy, but they are made to fit. I've searched the board and could only find my message from over a year ago. I couldn't find the parts list. Bummer. Price was about 80$ for all pieces, YMMV. _____________________ Firing order: 1 |

The parts list is here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/201 64/6832.html?1254847823 Click on the "handguard" file near the top. But it is much easier to order it all in a kit from American Sport Bike ! |

Actually I did stumble on the American Sport Bike set before I posted, but their price is pretty expensive compared to the $40 quote I got for the basic hand guards at my local bike shop. I did call a Harley dealer and the XB Hand guards are only $17 a piece! Unfortunately I may not be able to install them considering I upgraded to bar-end mirrors...I'll take a chance on the $40 set and go from there. Thanks fellas |

You can run Bar end mirrors with the American Sport Bike/Buell set up with instructions and people who you can call who actually know your bike, not likely on most of the other sets, and ease of replacement is the nearest Buell dealer, a good price is not always a good price - nespa? Also you could grab the parts list and hit ChicagoHD/Buell on line and figure it out, or you can buy some off brand - enjoy! EZ (Message edited by ezblast on October 07, 2009) |

Mxa, the XB handguards are the same as the Uly's. They are 16.60 each. -So your dealer was right.- Then you'll need the pivot bolts. They are 11$ each. Then you'll need the...and the...and... Gearhead put up the link to the Buell parts needed for the install. That's the full list. It bolts right on. You could put a set of Acerbis guards. They are about 40$. BUT, you'll need the bracketry (brush guard) to go with them and that runs another 25-40$. They're probably tougher, but may be more difficult to fit on a street bike with controls. I'm not sure. ______________________ Firing order: 1 |

Does that belt look really loose in the picture or is it just me (not the drive belt). |

Conway, that's a centrifugal clutch like a snowmobile has on it. The engine pulley gap is reduced with an increase in RPM and grabs hold of the belt. The belt is then as tight as it needs to be. You'll see there is no clutch lever. This is why. ______________________ Firing order: 1 |

That thing has to be slow as heck though. The diesel doesn't make as much power as ours and it's heavier. Cool idea, but not worth the trouble if you axe me. |

CRAP!!! i saw some pretty cool rearsets for the blast on ebay a day or two ago and they are gone! cant find them looked like the guy was making and selling them on ebay but they could have been a one-off... im repairing my bike since my accident, got the insurance check yesterday so its time to start replacing stuff... since both foot peg brackets are bent i was going to go rearsets |

4ork, did the rearsets look like modified stock peg hangers? If they did the guy who makes them is on Badweb. His name is THUMPE I think. I bought an undertail kit from him, he makes nice stuff. |

gear EZ Somebody Need drive belt for 2000. best place to get and cost thanx. Blast has 8000 now and has run great ever since 3000 when talked to you guys last. Put V&H on. Can you suggest quieter can? Hate neighbors covering ears when go by. |

Also suggest Hwy 52 through Elijay in north Georgia. Talk about curves. The ol Blast eats it up. |

Gussie: I assume you've had the belt/pulley recall done? Otherwise the part #G0500.01A7 its $85 from any Buell dealer. See our sponsors list. Quieter can would be the Jardine with the "quiet core", although your V & H probably just needs repacking (before it comes apart). Unless you're being a nuisance (lots of revving and stationary running or back an forth up the block), 'forget' the neighbors. |

email him? Since Dan isnt a sponsor here and his rear sets are in direct competition with a sponsor here, he cant advertise any such deals here. It would be up to you to email him and ask. Or email him through the ad on ebay. |
