1 5/8 od, some after market start at 1 3/4 and stay that way through out, some start at 1 3/4 and them step to 1 7/8 and others step to 2", the Force and Terry's custom are stepped very closely except his pipe has an extra smaller beginning start at 1 5/8 for an 1 1/2" - it is the faster at low end and mid range acceleration, no Blast aftermarket has started at 2" - you would loose all bottom and mid range acceleration, almost dead in the water till around 4500 to 5000 rpms. You could do the washer trick to save some, but still not worth it. In several different parts of this exhaust section you will find the Dimensions for both the Force and Terry's custom, as well as the dimensions for the Jardine, WB, Kerker, V&H, Pro-Series, and other customs as well as mixed Breeds with interesting results. The Jardine header with the D&D can is awesome! EZ |

im gonna try removing the muffler, cutting a the top skin off the muffler, gut it all out, and possibly install a small resonator inside, or leave it empty and weld in some baffling... gonna redo the header-to-muffler pipe in a larger size. whatcha think? i just love thelook of the look of the stock exhaust |

When you get the think apart you find the primary running to the rear of the muffler. That is where I would start, at the rear with a big "U" and a small can exhausting forwards. |
