Speaking from a "I used to install the stuff and then charge $15.00/tire for a computer balance" perspective... Honestly, if it worked that great, cars would come from the dealership with the (we called it by its brand name "Equal") stuff already in them. From my experience, and we only used it in the really difficult to balance (read: Big, bias-ply, off-road, knobby, nasty looking, heavy duty) tires, it really only got the wheel and tire assembly close to a zero-balance (within an ounce or so.) Not even close to what a real dynamic-computer balance will do for you. Long story short, I have talked with people that swear by the stuff, and people that use it and still pay to have their tires balanced every other rotation. Personally, if the tire takes that much weight to balance, it's either balanced wrong, or it's going to ride like garbage anyway, most tire manufacturers will take a tire back that requires excessive weight to balance, the hard part is getting passed the douche bag tire salesman that (in my experience) has very little idea what he is talking about, and too much concern for his stores bottom line. If you get a tire like that in the future, call the manufacturer and see if you can get a credit for the offending tire. Most of the big ones (Pirelli, Michelin, Goodyear, Etc.) are VERY good about making the situation right. |

I tried the beads, didn't like them. When my tires were pretty new, I took the weights off and put the beads in. She rode pretty rough, so I put weights back on in the same place. So the beads are still in there, but it works so much better with the weights in place. |

Don't know if this question has ever been asked/answered, but is it possible to use an xb guage cluster on our little orphans? If so, how difficult a transition? |

Subvert, If you look in the picture section it looks like the XBBlast/supermotard has one, I don't know if it's hooked up though. Good luck, can't wait to see some pics! |

I took a pic today of my badly cupped front tire and thought I'd share. I think it's time for a new one! LOL! http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg106/CigarJohn ny/Buell/IMG00362-20090827-1231a.jpg |

LOL! Actually it's not that bad. Maybe I'm just used to it but I really don't notice it when I ride. |

Thats not too bad! The Avon would start cupping at around the start of the ending of the second rear tire, when the rear was toast, just replaced both - I always do a 2 to 1 ratio on tires anyway: 1 front to 2 rear. EZ |

I meant to post these a week or so ago. From reading some of the archives, a lot of people automatically suspect the diaphragm if they are having problems with their carb. I ran across these on you tube, and they are excellent diagnostic tools for determining if your diaphragm is working properly. Good diaphragm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4knwjlNC1o&eurl=ht tp%3A%2F%2Fxlforum%2Enet%2Fvbportal%2Fforums%2Fsho wthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D30748&feature=player_embedded Bad diaphragm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1YOkoekIeA&eurl=ht tp%3A%2F%2Fxlforum%2Enet%2Fvbportal%2Fforums%2Fsho wthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D30748&feature=player_embedded |

I'll send in a picture of me and my Blast, naked. The Blast is naked. I wouldn't inflict the other on a Hayabusa rider. |

Dude! If you get into the CR like you did the P3, there's going to be a lot of Lobster owners happy. Imagine what you can do with that thing!!! still have the blasts, right? |

I just bought a CR - now the trick will be me not killing myself! I don't think that's the trick. The trick will be keeping your license! I really want a CR, but then I look at my license and realize that I enjoy having it and having a CR would make it a lot harder to continue having. But two thumbs up to you for grabbing one! Wayne |

EZ, you got a 1125CR huh? Now maybe you can engineer putting the CR bottomstop tail/seat on a BLAST... I just ordered some Woodcraft clip ons for my BLAST, I can't wait to put those bad boys on. |

That's cool. I'm looking for a new "toy" myself. But thanks to EB I'm going Italian. Like you said though, the BLAST will remain my ever evolving hobby. |

Congrats Ez. Not sure about my next bike, the more I see the XR1200, the more I like it. It's kinda like a Buell, right? I just hope I can get my blast running soon and get on the road. Check out my piston! I'm surprised I had 70 psi compression! My piston and cylinder were all torn up. I'm broke, so I didn't go upgrade, just replacing with stock parts.

Yep, when I opened up the intake and put on a V&H pipe. Can't remember the number, whatever EZ recommended. I was thinking I did something wrong when I replace the head (about 1 year and 5k miles ago. Hopefully I'll do it all right this time. |

Hey - thats cool - gets you down the road, and is fun! What more can you ask for? I promised myself though, I'd always have two running, so when ole Vader became a serious project, I knew it was time to go shopping - is that damage from a valve? EZ |

I have no clue what happened. I don't see how the valve could hit there, and the valve looks OK. I suspect some junk got in there when I replaced the head. |
