Looks nice, the red is a nice offset...but you gotta do something about that exhaust. Really brings the bike down. Do you have plans for that? Maybe a regular coating of BBQ paint> |

Sure do, plan on making a custom header with a SuperTrapp. If that fails to materialize I plan on doing the Jardine. |

I'm running "daytona" bars that I got from JC Whitney. I like them, a bit taller and more pullback than superbike bars. The GP Touring look like the split the difference between the Superbike and Daytona bars. |

I have it one there EZ, CrossRoads. It took many hours with the Dremmel to clean out all of the parts. Had to tap and die a few connections as well. I think it was all worth it though. Bike was down for 5 weeks. Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. Got rubbernecked today...that was cool. I'll get some better pics up when I stop riding so much. |

You guys want to have the hose flowing down so oil and condensation do not collect in the low spot in the hose. |

I said I used the same bracket. I didn't say I kept it at the same angle. My filter is actually pointing forward at a slight downward angle and there is no low spot in the hose for oil to collect. Looks like a mini conical air filter. I've read some here say that you don't even need a breather at all and can remove the "T" fitting and just run a drain line off of the PCV valve. When I first put my new air cleaner on I didn't know what to do with the breather end of the "T" so I capped it off until I could figure something else out for it. I took it for a test ride and it looked like the engine was blowing it's brains out. Oil was everywhere! I didn't realize what was causing it and panicked thinking I blew a rocker gasket or something worse. Finally it dawned on me that my plugging the breather may have caused it and I was right. Since I turned the PCV around to face the rear and shortened the hose, rotated the "T" coupling to point up and ran the breather hose to a nice little filter I haven't used any oil and my engine has stayed nice and clean. Something it hasn't done even when it was new. With the stock air box I had oil everywhere - in the air box, all over the front of the engine and engine mounts, misting onto the foot pegs brackets...Now I have no oil issues. I love it! Needless to say, I do NOT recommend that anyone skips a breather and just tries to run a drain line off of the PCV valve. You should have BOTH. (Message edited by johnnymac on May 12, 2009) |

It is comprised of the old style Banke shifter for the S1, the Pro-series pegs for the Tuber Buells, and custom bracketry to mount stuff on - though mounting your own rear MC is left up in the air and done several ways. EZ |

I agree, I think It's because they're blacked out that they look so good. I never liked the look of them before I so em on Thump's bike. I just can't justify the price tag. My creation will come soon! |

But now you see why they cost so much - The Banke shifter, even discounted to the wholesaler is pricey, then the pegs are 200 for a set, then the custom plates and spacers - lol - but they still look good to me - even after all these years - lol EZ

Here are some of my 06 blast. I have bar ends, all plastic removed, drilled stock muffler, modded headlight bracket/front blinkers, shaved licence plate bracket, blacked-out everything but swingarm. GP Touring bars (black), Cherry Bomb, and traction grips in the mail, as well as D2MOTO.COM LED Blinkers, #45 and #175 jets, and Avons on the way. I'm working on a custom intake with a Torque stack and black PVC but I gotta wait til I can afford the filter! Let me know if yall like her (her name is Penelope)....I seem to be the only Central Texas Bueller around! Thanks!

Here's a couple shots of my 2001 (I tried to fix the terrible white balance in the last two, and I think it just got worse). Haven't really done anything with it other than dirt track bars. I'm really hoping to move on to something bigger soon, but I can't say that this bike hasn't been fun. |

That bike will be a Blast as soon as you switch out tires to anything else! Great pics! As for power - some basic mods to a stock bike will release a little extra as well. By the way - Welcome! EZ |
