Hey everyone, I have some bad news. I regret to say...that I've gone to the Darkside. Today I bought a 2003 XB9S. I love my Blast, and still plan on riding it,but the battery died and I saw this one on Craigslist. LoL, anyways, I am now the proud owner of TWO awesome Buell motorcycles! And I'm only 19 ! Seriously though, you guys have all been great over the last couple years. I can't tell you how many times stuff I've read on here has helped or saved me money. I'm sure I'll need some more help sooner or later again though with my Blast so until then I'll leave you with a couple pics of my new baby.
More pics in the Got Thump section shortly! |

Congratulations! I just picked up a lightly dropped 08 Ulysses, but the KV on the main board isn't half as organized as the Thumper Forum.... I now have 3 Buells myself..... I would love to add and XB9....maybe if I could sell the Sportster? By the way I need a battery for the Little Kids Blast, where was that link again?... |

Swampy - The XB needed a battery and the Interstate one I bought last night is working fantastic. I think by looking at them, I'm 97% sure the Blast battery is the same. Mine was $71 but with my "I know the Manager discount" it came to $65 LoL Johnny - It has 8900 adult owned miles, and is in near showroom condition except for a small dent in the frame on the right side where the bike fell in his garage when he backed into it. Nothing a new set of frame pucks wont cover! I thought I picked it up for a reasonable $4000. Plus the guy threw in a battery tender because he knew this one was bad I rode the 1.5 mile curvy loop around the golf course by my appartment about 9 times last night. I cant really take it anywere else because it's not licensed yet. I'm freakin out man!! |

I find that when I go for an interstate buzz at 65mph + for any more than 15 minutes or so, I've got an airbox that is piddling oil onto the rear of the bike. Anyone had a PCV fail like this? I had it off a few weeks ago and it seems to do it's job (suck/blow) but could this thing be giving issue at 4500rpm?? Thanks in advance, ______________________ Firing order: 1 |

I would recommend re-routing the crankcase ventilation hose to somewhere other than the air box. Then I would check to see if the oil level is too high. If your bike is running fine all should be OK, but if you have excessive blow-by it could be the cause of your oil soaked air box. What you are probably seeing is alot of condesation and a small amount of oil mixed with it, it then looks like alot of oil. So just spit it out onto the ground. Thats where it came from, thats where it should go back to. Gosh!...just joking! |

kustom - CF body cover/protectors will spiff her right up and they are not expensive, when you start adding other cf bling - then it gets pricey - lol EZ |

Swampy, I agree in principal, but the plumbing of the OEM system should work properly. I'm just wondering if this is the way the PCV fails. If I simply accept it as a 'new normal' and just reroute the breather, I've not fixed anything. _______________________ Firing order: 1 |

i wounder of the loop coming out of the rocker box is not correct. if the bike has even just a little bit to much oil it will reduce to the correct level by coming out the pvc hose. |

Hey all- I saw a pic of a bike a little bit ago that had painted on a "chin fairing" onto their stick exhaust can. I think the bike was red. Any ideas where to find that pic? My head hurts from paging through all the sections of this forum... Thanks! -Andy |

The donation went good. There is now 2 more units of O- out there for any of our fellow bikers that suffer accidents this riding season. |

Garlic - any grade would be ok, prefer stainless, the others will need painting. EZ |
