Is 1500 too low to sell a blast with not a whole lot of miles on it? I have an extra one, a friend that wants to ride, and just payed it off for 2700. At 1500 i feel like iv'e lost a lot. Anyone good at selling these things? |

Rex, if that is the motor from Pinwall...the head is absolutely trashed..and the giant scuff on the front of the cases looks bad...could be cracked internally... |

Yea the head doesn't look too good. I guess I got quick fingers....I have been looking at blast and buell twin motors for quite a while. I wanted a motor to finish up a parts S2 bike, and I have always wanted a blast motor to put in an xb frame. I thru two low bids at the blast motor and the s3 motor, and I won the S3 and no one else is bidding on the blast motor. |

EZ. are you going to be at ASBN Monday? I am out of town, and Jon is busy. I was wondering if you would want to talk about your Blast ride down the coast with the folks at the meeting? rex |

What year Blast Wardo? I deduct about $400-$500 for every year older than new. Example: 2009=$4800 2008=$4300 2007=$3800 2006=$3300 2005=$2800 2004=$2300 2003=$1800 2002-2000 depends on condition. You certainly wouldnt sell a 2000 Blast for $300! NADA, Edmunds or Kelley Blue book should also have some guidelines. Low mileage, good condition is worth more and a safer bet any year. Stock is worth more unless you're absolutely sure the mod work was done right and its appealing. Summer sells for more than middle of winter. Those are my guidelines. |

Yeah, the heads trashed, but you're going to want to throw an XB head on it anyway (or at least a twin head to fit the S2 frame)! I couldnt get the video of it running to download, but I've bought from Pinwall (and did get to watch the video) and havent had any problems. I see nothing but great possibilities for it |

Hey all. Just wondering how many of you out there are a) Wisconsin blasters and b) Wisconsin blasters that can change tires. My viper strikes will finally be here Saturday. Called up my local dealership, about mounting prices and they want $186 to do it. From what Ive read, doin it yourself is easy, I just dont trust myself with something as vital as tires, call me chicken, whatever. Seems too easy to make a catastrophic error since i dont know what Im doin. Once I see it done and have a general idea, thats a whole different story. So, any locals around Milwaukee (or wherever, not opposed to road trips) wanna help me out once this damn white stuff disappears? |

I'd look for a different shop. I don't remember what I paid for mounting & balancinig, but when I got 2 brand new tires on mine last year I paid about $140 for the whole thing which included both tires, the shop mounting and balancing the tires, and putting the tires back on the bike. So I'm guessing that was about $40 for labor. Note that this was NOT a harley dealer. |

Subvert I'm in Lansing, Michigan and can do it if you are around. I also could do it just south of Ludington some weekend. You could ride the Kewanee to Ludington ferry and then ride down if you get real hard up to change it. |

Hello everyone. I just bought a full set of black plastics (used) off craigslist. Just wondering the best way to get some shine back to em. They are a bit scuffed, no scratches or anything, just dull. Any suggestions? Will some polishing compound and a bit of wax work? |

BE careful. Damage the finish and its gone for good. My guess is polishing compound will destroy the finish. I'd use Plexus. Really works well on Blast plastics and helmet faceshields. Second to that Protectall. |

From what I heard - they used parts they where going to use for a triumph feather-bed chopper - they had to bracket the body connections, but otherwise it worked for them - if you really like a wierd Al type of bike. It just keeps coming back onto the market every 6 months like a nightmare from hell rising up once again to upset our digestion. I can only hope it gets cheap enough to just buy the motor and part out the rest. EZ |

Whats sad is the guy said he paid $3200 for it. You're kidding right? You're in what business? Rarely do you get your money back on a home/modified built chopper. But to actually try and make money off that blastphemy? Yeah, its Weird Al alright and kinda cool too except that I can see whats not finished and it really makes me wonder about the quality of the work that was done. Story time: Years ago I used to buy Triumph parts from a guy who used to salvage a lot of choppers. I got to see some of the amazing things people would do to make a chopper. Seriously unsafe things. Not surprising many were wrecks. The 'albatross' reminds me of those bikes. |

I on the other hand was happily dragged around by my older cousin - Bill Quinn - who interviewed a lot of America's best builders - the most successful builders always ran beefy frames, and a few other tricks as well to have the solid frame survive for more than a few thousand miles - one New York group used cut down urethane engine mounting blocks from certain year Corvettes to quell vibration. Innovation can be a mother either way - this bike proves it - lol EZ |

Celebrated the 1st day of March up here in central Maine with a ride on my Blast! 17 degrees when i left, rode about 35 miles, not far but enough to scratch the itch Ive been having since mid-December. I can t wait for it to warm up! Until then, cold rides on decent days! |
