Whats up guys. I just installed the tach (same one berkshire has in his dash) using ez's method (just matched up the wires) and my bike wouldnt start. I noticed if I hit the high beam buttom the needle would move so i knew something was wrong. Then i unplugged the tach and the bike started right up, no problem. i tried disconnecting the lights wire but again wouldnt start. If anyone has hooked one of these tachs up please help me. thanks. |

If someone could just tell me what wires to match up so I could hard wire my tach that would be awesome. I dont have a manual for my bike so I just don't know what wires are what. thanks |

You probably have the tack wire hooked to the hot wire for the coil, try hooking it to the ground wire, isn't there an unused tack wire on the Ignition Module connector? |

I think you are probably correct - the pink wire is key on all the installs I've read about, except for one gent who got the induction method to work by adding a ground wire to the plug wire and coil ground. EZ |

"isn't there an unused tack wire on the Ignition Module connector?" Can anyone confirm this? I can hook up my tach with one green wire this way, I lost the wiring harness for using a different wiring option so I would be happy if I could do it that way. I can also hook it up to the negative side of the coil off the altinator . |

No, I lost the wiring harness. I called Iequus to see if I could get another one but the tech told me they don't sell them individually so if I wanted the harness I would have to buy another tach. I was pissed off and yelled at him, he didn't care. lol. |
