Oh--I forgot to say. My dad is a sovereign citizen. He got railroaded, and paperwork that was filed was rejected because it was on the wrong type of paper. There's a bunch of other factors that I didn't mention, like if the Attwoods had money to hire lawyers, there would be a huge lawsuit. |

Imadreadhead: Those mufflers will cut your power down to stock (or worse), if they are the Emgo mufflers they look like. (tried one, cheap emergency fix, nothing more) Get a real Harley aftermarket muffler, not a fits anything type, but one actually made specifically for a Harley. They can also be found cheap. |

Just wait till you find out the hoops you have to jump through and what fees you have to pay to make things right againYup! After I've sent them (what they asked for) my $100 fine and plea waiver, its now no longer a parking ticket, but an inspection violation ticket and MANDATORY COURT APPEARANCE.They still cant tell me the infraction or make and model of the car or motorcycle!!! Staying 'off the grid' is part of the 'biker' culture. I've heard many ways on how to do that. Now being a federal employee, such things are off limits. But you'd think after all the background checks over the years that my LICENSE BEING SUSPENDED and a WARRANT FOR MY ARREST would have caught someones eye?!! Now I remember why I left fascist New Jersey. |

Well team, I have officially joined the "rocker box gasket club." I dropped the bike off at the nearby Harley Dealer for service. They took one look and told me exactly what you folks hinted at as a possible problem. Thank all of you for the help. I am glad it is relatively inexpensive to fix and should be ready on Tuesday. |

You should be fine though after that, one thing though - if your still running the stock Dunlop - for safety's sake - ditch them - anything is better - the cheapest trash also sold are still better than the Dunlop - please ditch them as soon as possible. EZ |

When you get it back, check torque on all your exhaust bolts! Unless you're looking for an excuse to upgrade like I was... |

flat black with rainbow mirror lens! actually, I have one that's either the same as that or fairly similar, which i got at a local cycle shack for about $18 IIRC - it was one of a pair, but the other one melted when i hooked it straight up to the battery. it was surprisingly bright, then I noticed that the lens was bubbling! I never tried the other one - I assume it would have worked if plugged in the proper way. |

Just a question on those directional lights: would the DMV require they be a certain color -i.e. amber? This seems like it could vary from state to state. I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience with local LE folks... |

Turn signals may be either red or amber according to DOT, but brake lights must be red. Flashing warning lights that go on with the brake, may be amber, however. Uh, don't ask how I found all of this out..... |

Woohoo. Just got my Dominators today. Paid $60 for em new. Only problem is theyre chrome but whatever. Cant beat that price. So now, does anyone know if they sell the flyscreen brackets seperate? I really dont like the look of the Dominator flyscreen and dont wanna pay $80 just for the brackets. Any suggestions for slyscreen options are very welcome. Thanks guys. |

Do you mean the Dominator dual headlights? I'd skip the flyscreen. Universal headlight brackets are $6-10. Flyscreen brackets can be made from band steel or aluminum or old tuber Lightning (S1 I believe) flyscreen brackets are separate from the headlight mount and can be adapted. (sorry, no part number). |

Lighting-I was told by an LEO that any lights that are not stock can get you pulled over. Any lights that are a non stock colour can get you pulled over. DOT has regulations that auto/MC makers must abide by. They may not give you a ticket, but they can look for DOT stampings. |

Temperature? About 101, I have been sick for about two weeks, I thought I was doing well last Friday after taking a day off but I was wrong, I couldn't swallow by Monday morning. I got an early doctors appointment Monday at 8 and now I am doing better. I am on the antibiotics, and cough syrup with codine. Its still snowing around me, by Lake Michigan there is over a foot and a half of the dreaded "Lake Effect" snow which is no different than regular snow. Just 10 miles north of me there is about a foot of the white stuff. |

And the fog - boy my hand thinks its a windshield wiper - lol - I actually am praying for rain so all my new plants won't die next year due to water rationing - sigh - all either from seed or seedlings - the fruit trees were 15 gallon though - but those where special bought miniatures.
