I hope someone can enlighten me, because I'm getting a little confused going through the posts. My speedo/odo went out yesterday, I checked the codes and came up with a D02 error code, so I'm assuming it's the speed sensor. I've looked thru the posts, and found out that the sensor number is 74402-95B, but there is also a "rewiring kit" with the speed sensor, p/n Y0199.K. This is an '01 Blast, do I need the rewiring kit to keep from blowing the new sensor? What exactly is in the rewiring kit? I definitely don't want to spend $55 for a new speedo sensor just to watch it fail again, if anyone can give me the skinny it would sure be appreciated... Mike |

if your Blast is 2001 or higher it does not need that, all it needs is a new sensor. EZ |

The rewiring kit was for the recall on the rear pulley. |

OK guys, one more question: I see there is a more current number for the speedo sensor, p/n 74431-01B. Is this the latest & greatest, and will it work in an '01? |
