What do you need? Post a parts list here, and we can respond with what we have and prices. |

the things I need are not really something that i will ned shipped. the fuel pump is going to cost about 65 bucks. the battery about the same. although i do need a firebolt seat or seat pan. there is one on ebay for 30 bucks plus shipping. I think that one may be the one I try for. It really comes down to the fact that all the little things add up. no big deal just have to work on it as time and money allows. again it is really great to have prople who are willing to help. thanks |

The old Tuber S2 2" inlet 4" Suppertrapp would work great - its what I used - if your outlet is smaller it would only be a one size step up and such an adapter could be found in any auto store - a p-clamp for the front lower mounting and grade 8 bolts and a steel bar work for the rear mounting. Yep, post a list of what you need or might need and I'm sure we'll get it to you. I for one am eager to see this project get "out of the basement" and into the light of day. Literally. Badwebbers helped me out around Easter when I dumped my bike and I've been looking for a chance to pay a little back in the Kharma-Department. |

One day I'll be able to look back at this thread and say proudly to my grandchildren, "Look! That's all that's left of my first motorcycle's boat anchor!" and enjoy the looks of bewilderment. |

as promised
the guage is mounted, the headlights are mounted but none of the pictures came out. the next picture is a blast primary cover with a xb shift pivot bolt installed. its ready to move the shift assy. from the shaft to the xb position. what i didnt take pictures of is the wiring harness theat has moved to inside the frame and mostly hooked up. also I need to know if you dont hook the bank angle sensor up to a blast will it still run without it? Nice - very much so. Did you tap the tripple-tree for the speedo or where the holes there - if so what trees are you using and the distance apart of those holes would be cool also - if not self tapped. Thank you - EZ |

guage was mounted by drilling two 5\16 holes in the tree then using a nut and bolt to attach it. EZ- can you run blast with no bank angle sensor? |

I guess the real question is if I have a wire harness that includes the plug for the bas if i dont hook one up will it still run? |
New12r

no. The cpu needs to see a certain voltage from the bas to continue running. |

You could build a "fake" bas. Pretty much the bas sends a voltage to the cpu, if it is within a certain range the bike runs, when the bike tips over the bas sends a different voltage that is not in the "run" range and the bike shuts off. So if you read the manual it should give you the operating voltage and then you take the 5v reference signal and use the appropriate resistors to get it in range(IIRC it need to see .8 to 1.5 v to run). |

cpu? I guess i dont ahve one of those on this harness. Someone witha blast please get your bike running adn disconnect the bas adn let me know if it still runs. New12r- thanks if it comes to that i will spend teh 59.99 for the sensor. I could use that money for a battery instead, as long as it will still run. |

It wont run, I know because I had one that did not run without the bas. You might get it to fire, but not prolonged running. I forgot it is a carb on there. No cpu so it must be tied into the ignition circuit. I have a manual at home and can check it if needed. (Message edited by new12r on August 11, 2008) (Message edited by new12r on August 11, 2008) |

I may have missed it but the book didnt seem to tell me if the bike will run with out the BAS installed. Oh well I guess I will keep doign what i am doing and hope I can find one used or at least cheaply. mmounted the voltage regulator under the tail and teh coil on the motor cradel left side pictures tonight. |

This is a blind shot in the dark but most kill switches use a relay to interrupt the power. I don't have a blast manual but I'd think you may be able to jumper the load side of the relay so that it just bypasses the kill switches. Not the best way to run prolonged because it may bypass one you want but at least you'll be able to test things out. |

the coil has been mounted and it seems to be a good spot for now. I can seem to find a better spot as of right now but maby as the battery boxs gets constructed it will migrate. cant mount the voltage regulator untill i get a seat to see how it sits on the tail. |
