I dont really know what bulbs it has either, you just answered the question of whether it was wire up for dual or single headlights. I checked the website and these fairings are on sale for $23! WOW! Holy deal Batman! They also have a nice selection of Dominator (twin) headlights including a flyscreen. $149 for a flyscreen is a bit much, looks good though. |

Hi all, I'm a new guy to the forum. I haven't ridden a bike in twenty years, so a Blast seemed a logical choice for a "first" bike. I've looked for a used Blast in the Columbus,OH area, but couldn't find one. So I drove 100 miles and bought this baby. I got 120 miles and growing.

I just finished putting the Raptor headlightshield on the Little Kids bike. Looks great....but......It's not DOT lighting, I'm already sweating the first time the headlight bulbs burn out...I'm gonna have to learn to speak Chinese. |

I swapped my lights out to two H3 35watts - the wiring will support it and its easy to do - just tape up the back end to keep out any fluid - ran with that one for over 6 mo before I busted that one in the garage. EZ |

Ok explain.... How did you install it into the headlamp? There only seems to be one light that will fit in the headlamp socket. What does the H3 designate? Where do I find those lamps? Thanks |

Ahh the older Raptor round style - had the vampire version - same maker - that I went with 75 wt halogen and socket - auto part stores sell them in the universal section - EZ |

Struggles - Great job on the tail! I myself went with the "just doin it" chop job as well LoL. Overall though, you're shaping that Blast into a great member of the darkside! |

May I suggest Third-Eye bar-end bicycle mirrors? They should be available at anylocal bike shop and work great! Better visibility than stock, low vibration, ect. ect. Also, one more possibility to add to your list of addons, handlebars perhaps? |

I've had my eye on that fly-n-cycle "raptor" fairing for a while & couldn't resist the sale price, and being able to see what they look like on the bike helped too - thanks! Mine came with dual H6 40W/40W bulbs, meaning that each bulb has 2 filaments, each of which is 40 watts, so you'd get 80W low beam, and 80W high beam. I assume the distance between the filaments causes the light to be "aimed" differently. The wiring is parallel, so both bulbs do the same thing. If the Blast uses both filaments for high beam, the raptor would give 160W on high beam, but I don't think that's how it works - but maybe with some fancy wiring it could. I wish it was about 50% larger, but this will work. (Message edited by berkshire on June 25, 2008) |

The Blast does not use both filaments for high beam, so a bit of rewiring will be necessary, because at night the headlights as wired now are inadequate. |

Cool looking chop struggles. Much more aggressive than I had the guts to do. Now paint those foot rest frames. Heh. I just bought a Fatbob tank and a rear fender. This is taking forever but I hope to get started chopping mine up soon....(prob end up being winter proj at this rate). By the way...Im building leather solo saddles for chops now so if anyone needs one.... |

I finally managed to pull some pics off my camera. I noticed in an early post that Styxnpicks had the same idea with modifying the front flyscreen.
I'll hopefully have some more shots soon... once I replace the battery.... ughhh. |

Very Nice indeed - details on the tail chop would be cool, also it looks like those rear pegs YZF6 (What Year?) would fit the front as well? Definitely nice detailing. EZ |
