Ray - sounds promising! Best of luck! Damn - then the old Gene Berg valve guide puller stays dusty - lol - yea they developed a lot of shortcuts because the motor was so popular in drag circles, sand drag circles, and baja/sand dunning - all things that may demand on site repair - AutoCrafts 3pc. cases ment rebuilds could also be done on the spot! I just looked at the exploding diagram and thought to myself nothing new there and how I had done things before - actually though you could vacuum it out thru the sparkplug hole - sigh - always learning - first - the primary adj. flats, then the oil press., now this - thank you - I would not have even looked except for torque values - guess I better get reading as well - lol - still thats a bit down the line so no stress - yea Erik time to take a ride with the James gang;0) - sure it would be fun! Have a 25yr class reunion in Redlands next month - if I go it will be by bike - good warm up for a trip to sis's place - still don't know if I'm going, but it is at an old friends place - so who knows? Sis is definate though - Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! edited by ezblast on September 20, 2003 |

Sorry for the late reply - was out riding the Red, adj. primary, etc. - making sure its ready for the Bub, and just having fun! Going to go wash the bikes now - and do chores. Got Thump?! Let's see, 97.665 in 500cc SC-PF 98.706 in 500cc SC-PG And to boot I made it to 100.019 in SC-PF second pass in the quarter. 99.869 in the mile, but was hitting the rev limiter every 1/10 of a mile after the quarter. It has been a great time, I just finished a meal of crab and am drinking a bottle of 18 year old single malt. Life is great. Ray |

My WB exhaust is here - strange - my can is oval in shape - is that correct? You can't tell from the pics of the different bikes with it on. I'm sure it must be ok? I looked over the welds and seals - looks good! I'l be putting that puppy (extra discs & bolts as well)on this weekend! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! Ed, I hope you have better luck with the WB's than some of us have had. Take your time putting everything together and you shouldn't run into any problems down the road. My V&H started to show its a$$. so I pulled it off to repack it. Got done with the repack and realized I didn't have any pop rivets here at the house. So on went the Force(Nallin). I've have been running it for the past two weeks. Its loud and it gets louder the more gas you give it. I have added a 3" Super Trapp (part# 344-3004)to it to help keep the noise down. It is designed for a 3" megaphone. I'm only running 12 disk at the time and some more are on the way. I'm will try to get to the dyno down at Tilley's one day this week. One other thing I've got about 1200 miles on the Pro-Series intake no brace no problem. Eric |

Well I figure if the can goes south - besides the Suppertrapp that you'll be checking out - there are a bunch of other cans out there by really good makers - who knows what we could stumble upon;0) - Thats good news so far on that intake - still - experience tells me that while you may be a lucky individual - mine would probably crack - lol - though I may try it sooner or later on the Red Maul - it is the in-city bike and I can throw a boot and screwdriver under the seat (already have that for the Black Vader - lol). Tilley's eh - great people by their rep - sounds like a good time! Enjoy! Just a thought - now both my bikes will be loud and proud! Lol - so the customizations goes on! Got Thump?! OR...you could always use the extra spark for a little flame thrower action, could helps warm the tires 9-18-2003 James .... Of course, it's not going to be much of an issure if you run an different ignition madule in "twin mode" and have a lost spark. James |

Thumper friends, I'm home now, after 2500+ mile of travel and 2 records. Taking records o the salt is much harder than you might think, even if they are open. If you think small they might be taken too soon, if you are too confident, well... The salt is too fun, but it is real draining. I'm proud of the Team Elves effort. Not only the Buells but the other bikes like "Snails", FiremanJims" and "Choptops". Their efforts just added to the "TeamElves" effort, even with their UMJ's, and Chop's British bike. Thanks for the words of encouragement and the appreciation is without bounds. This has been a very expensive, but satisfying experience to say the least. Ray |

Jeff - how does she handle? Looks great! Nice job! She looks totally serious! Now thats Blasting on the Dark side! - lol - are those the Crossroad units? What clip-ons did you use? How difficult was the front end swap and what did you do to quicken the steering back up? Very nice! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

It has crossroads rear sets. The front end swap wasn't that bad. I had to modify the stem. The Blast stem is about 1" longer that the S1 unit. The steering is very slow. I made the swing are too long. I plan on shortening it up this winter. The clip ons are 54 mm Pro Flow I think. The only real mod to the front was making some steering stops to keep the switches from bashing the tank. Jeff |

Hey Jeff, Long time no talk. Speaking of which, we should talk. I know that that BEAUTIFUL Blast is your own project, but will there be any specific offerings from S&S for the Blast? Are those your own custom rearsets? Jerry |

I was told on another board if you raised the rear just a bit it would compensate and speed the steering back up - hope that helps. Great job though - she just looks sweet! Good question about S&S - Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |
