It has to print on 8.5x14" sheets. The brake-side bracket is too big to fit on a letter size sheet. Trust me, I had to tape two letter-size sheets together to do the tracing. Now archived - Look up Rear-sets Brackets/plates Thank you Phoebe - Did you measure the spacers at all? EZ |

Ez, Is the .pdf accurate now with regards to size? Once I am able to get a machine shop to cut these out for me out of aluminum what is the next steps? What other parts are needed to enable the full use of the rearsets? Cheers, totolandman |

See the link at the top of this section for rearset spacer specifics, for the shifter, what James sugests, the new style X1 shifter sold by Buell as a replacement for their old style, or the Gixxer shown above stle would work as well. The template is now the right size - use legal sized paper, and make the rear top tip wider so you can drill a hole in it and mount your brake resavour there. EZ |

I am willing to pay someone to make a custom set of rearsets. I am on two major projects that will take me to the end of the year and would like to have a set of custom rearsets on my ride before summer hits! Anyone know of any machine shops or talented forum members looking to make some extra cash? |

Banke will make them for you, but they cost 600 not and he makes them one off. I gave him a call and he said theres just not enough demand to make a regular line of Blast parts. |

Any chance that those who already have the Banke or the Crossroads Performance custom rearsets if they have any documentation or installation instructions if that could be converted to a .PDF file and uploaded. You know you could probably use the stock shifter in connection with that set and make it look nice with a little shaping and polishing with a dremel - so yes then you'd have a very nice set indeed! I'll see what I've got, but that was a while ago - lol - and a few days - EZ |

Good news everyone. I contacted these guys http://www.chainsikle.com/ they make rearsets for sportsters, really nice ones, and they may be willing to make rearsets for the blast. They have really good prices. It will be at least 2 months before the guy can get to making a set for a blast, but for the quality and price i think its worth it. Take a look at his web site, and shoot him an email if your may want a set. May be he will carry a line for the blast if a few peeps are looking for a set. |

they told me they were intreasted in making them, and his sister inlaw has a blast to do the fitting on, but he cant get to it for a few months. So in a month im emaling him again to see whats up. i was going to make my own set, but his work is so much better than anything i could do.... and if it costs about the same as his other sets!!!! over 1/2 the parts are he same as the set he makes for the sportster, so getting the right side set up should be the only problem. Right side is the easy side! Those are good prices though. The right side only needs a plate fabbed up which is easy since you already have a sprocket cover as a template. Shifter side takes a little more work. For $500 its an easy sell to make your own. At $250 you almost have to decide if its worth your time. |

For a race shift pattern it would be easy - a double flip of the stock could do it - flipping the toe piece as well - lol - but to get the regular shift would be trickier. I recommend the 2nd gen X1 shifter - most adjustable of all of the tuber shifters, however, it will align at a slight angle like the Banke does and not Buell's recommended 90 degree from the shaft - drilling and tapping can go bad, however it can be done and the XB shifter used as well. The shifter already used for the 05 and later sportster's at that sportster rearset sight may even fit the Blast - meaning the foot controls - not the mounting points - EZ http://www.chainsikle.com/ (Message edited by ezblast on May 03, 2008) |

While its easy for me to say and find, there is a ton of info right here at this thread. Probably at least a half dozen different shifter linkages listed (all stock Blast parts for the brake). XB linkage, X1 new style shift linkage, old X1 or tuber linkage, Storz reverse shifter (simplest-'bolts right on'!), and the other custom sets listed from various suppliers. Banke also might just sell you just a shifter. |

Col.time, the ebay guy that makes the aluminum dashes also makes this shifter. That should work with the aftermarket pegs I bought to use with the Banke rearset kit - didn't like their rubber and the steel pegs looked just like the Crossroads items, so I found those tubular ones that just straight screw in like bikes of certain years - these - Universal Pegs: (foot pegs that just need a hole for the bolt to go through parallel the peg - screwing into the peg) - LHS - RC51, R6(99-05), F4, F4i. BOTH SIDES: EX500, GS500, F2, F3, NT650, MILLE/R, FACTORY/R, 750/900SS (91-98) CFMotorsports - 06-0300 - Standard Footpeg (BH bolt) That would leave just mounting plates and spacers - pretty easy stuff to make with blue prints already provided here. i have the mounting stuff and plate to make my own, but if chainsikle can make them for 300, im spending the 300 lol. bicking up foot pegs and shifter will cost 100-200 anyway. if you look on ebay and get a used rearset off of a sportbike you can get the pegs, shifter matching break side and then u just need to make the plate to mount them. That is what i was going to do anyway, untill i found chainsikle any way.... |

It looks adaptable and for the right price (hopefully). Almost any shifter with linkage will allow the standard shift pattern or reversed shift pattern. |

The link I'm sure is too short and you'll need a splined piece from XB or tuber to work it but the shifter with foot peg is the most expensive and hardest piece to find. The rest is easy (or easier). I doubt second time around if he lists it that it will go for $30! |

Ok so I was gunna try to fab up some rear sets. And things have just got crazy and I don't have the time, that and I want something that looks good not like it was pieced together or crap. And that's what will happen if I make my own even tho I work in a machine shop because I have very little time. And I can't program the cnc's myself. So where can I get some? For somereason I heard that one company stoped making them????? Also any one wanna sell me there's? I have cash in hand and can paypal the money!
