Aftermarket exhaust for the Blast. It was on a 2001 model, but all Blasts of that age and newer are the same, AFAIK This "muffler" could more accurately be described as an amplifier. It really gives the otherwise timid-sounding Blast a mean note. It was on the Blast when I bought it used, but I found the sound not to my taste, so I put the stock exhaust on it. As you can see from the picture, it's a bit scraped up on the bottom, but works perfectly fine. If "loud pipes save lives," you'll be immortal with this one! $60 + $20 shipping in the continental US Contact Toby at 408-891-9778 (Message edited by tobyf on May 04, 2008) |

I'm interested, but I'll wait for somebody else who may need it more. Erik PS Where's Castro Valley? |

My used Blast also came with a V & H exhaust. I let my son ride the bike through the neighborhood and if he got into the throttle at all, I could hear him 1/2 a mile away. Way too loud for me. I'm gonna wait to see if he gets a Blast also and if he does, we'll swap. He loves that volume but I'm older and wiser. Just out of curiosity, what price range for a new stock exhaust? |

I think I've got this thing sold already. I'll know for sure on Wednesday evening. |

Hey guys, i'm looking for a tail pipe for my P3, 2003 Blast. i found a local mechanic and we both agree it needs a different pipe on the bike. Mechanic says its needs a stock tail pipe. If i get that, is it going to be an eardrum blaster? LOL i don't want something THAT loud. Cath P.S. thanks for all the education i'm getting AND the sense(s) of HUMOR. You make my day every time i read the posts! |

I did in fact sell the V&H tonight. Thanks for the interest in that. Cath, the stock exhaust is pretty quiet. Some people say it sounds like a riding lawnmower (and not in a complimentary way!). It still has a nice tone while pulling at low rpm, but is pretty quiet otherwise. Wind/road noise overshadows engine noise at most speeds. I quite liked the stock exhaust -- not obnoxiously loud and it looks nice in the way that it parallels the curve of the front wheel. I never much cared for the ear-splitting sound of the V&H (and I saw other postings saying that all aftermarket exhausts don't meet noise ordinances). |

Thanks Toby-concur. Except "if its too loud, you're to old"! Now will somebody answer that phone? Ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing.... |

My exhaust (barely) meets local noise ordinances. |

Zane, if your son gets something other than a Blast and you still want to swap out your V & H exhaust for a stock exhaust, let me know. I've got a 2003 with a stock exhaust that I'd like to make louder. |
