Just wanted to post a pic of the latest small mod I did to my Blast... Just try to read it while your riding. Gives a good indication of pressure vs. just the idiot light. Sean

Looks Nice! As the pebble starts the avalanche - so the Dark side calls - lol - now if someone could rig a temp. gauge for the oil dipstick we'd have it made! Really good work! you should tell them about the blurp in the manual vs reality and the first gauge you tried going south. - lol - too funny! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

As an alternative. http://monkeybike.co.uk/acatalog/Takegawa_Digital_Oil_Temperature_Kit.html I'm thinking that drilling a hole in the current cap and epoxying the other dipstick may work if the shaft is long enough to mark for checking the volume. Bueller? |

The Monkey bike unit will work providing it set up for 3/8" lines. There isnt much dipstick in the oil, but you could drill a hole in it and shove the Monkey bike unit wire in (I'm sure thats all its doing anyway). I'm not sure trying to get an HD dipstick to work is the way to go. You could always carry a thermometer! |

I'm thinking about adding a pressure gauge. Does anyone know what the pressure might be at full load? Under 30 psi? |

I recently put a pressure gauge in place of the pressure sensor. If I remember correctly I found the operating oil pressure in the manual. However I have not had my bike running since installing the gauge because of a transmission repair in progress. I do not have a picture at this time. |
