LOL! Matches=cool. I love promo items. If you're talking about the 2 Allen head bolts, I used anti-seize and drilled them for safety wire (mostly too see if they start to back out). They do tend to get real tight coming out for the first time. |

Kustomklassix, Support the engine, remove the swing arm and shock, then remove the frame from the engine. |

Thanks Swampy, thats kinda what I did. 1. Support engine 2. Remove front end 3. Remove rear shock 4. Separate frame from motor (THE REAR MOUNT IS EVIL) 5. Roll swingarm and motor back into garage 6. Go sit in hot-tub to relive pain from trying to move a floppy motor and swingarm into garage |

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. Yesterday I was putting gas in the bike and went to leave and left the kickstand down, which killed the motor. When I went to restart it the bike would turn over but not start up. Any ideas? Is there a relay or a switch that I should check? Seems like the problem would be electrical since the bike was running fine before this. Thanks for your time. DJ |

Also, welcome to BadWeb Echolsd! As for your question...hm...did you try to start it in-gear with the kickstand still down? That would be the only thing I can think of. I don't have to worry about the kickstand anymore though because I wired it together up at the harness completely eliminating that switch |

Kusto... I havent tried that yet, I guess I will do that after work and see if it works. This isnt the first time I have done it and every other time the bike would crank right back up, so maybe the kickstand and the bike not started have no correlation. Thanks for the response....keep em coming! |

I may have just flooded. One time mine wouldn't start and it acted like it was a little flooded after something like that happened. I pinned the throttle wide open and cranked until it fired and it was fine. I heard that trick somewhere pertaining to old carb'd muscle cars, but it worked for the blast too. Probably could lead to fouling the plug or something, but it worked for me that one time... |

Naustin, Thanks for the reply. I cranked on it last night until the battery went dead, and that was with no throttle as well as giving it a moderate amount of throttle. Where is the spark plug located on these bikes? |

Ya gotta go WOT to start it if it's flooded. Spark plug is in a very dark place under the gas tank in the top of the head on the left. Some have tools that will reach it, but I find it's easier to pull the gas tank. I have my tank off a lot more than I need to change the spark plug. You can reach the wire, pull it off, crank it over and see if it shocks the crap out of you. (Message edited by Reuel on April 22, 2008) |

With the Iridium - just a blip at most - damn things are almost impossible to drown - especially the racing. EZ |

EZ!!!! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH YOUR BUB EXHAUST!!!! THE PIC ARCHIVE SHOWED ME THAT YOU USED TO HAVE ONE!!!! I NEED ONE!!!! LoL, sorry I got a little excited. Ugh, these stupid things are IMPOSSIBLE to find! Naustin is the only other BadWebber I've talked to who has one and he isn't willing to part with it (I can't blame him...). WHAT DID YOU DO WITH YOURS?!?!?! If you all recall I almost died last fall in a freak accident that flattened my BUB against my trans. Bad deal! It still works...but it just isn't the same... |

I keep it for a reliable back up - its still good, and I have one stocker for tickets to be signed off - used once - lol - my other spares I gave away since I think the Force and Terry's Custom LSR pipe deliver the most. But the Bub is all about take off and has the right dimensions to be fun on a bigger motor as well. EZ |

dibs on the head pipe if you get a Jardine? |

The Jardine and White Brothers have identical headers - just different cans - so in a sense I've already had a Jardine - a very nice set up, though I liked the Disc set up better for power tunning, and the D&D can on that header is the best for power and sound. My buddy Scott was gifted that as part of his wedding present. EZ |

EZ - It MAY be your spare...but it WOULD be my primary... Would you ever consider parting ways with it ...? I would pay you considerably...or anyone else with a Bub for that matter... |

Sorry - can't do it - would if I could, but the Custom header and the Force exhaust are very experimental and neither yet has any long term - over 6000 miles - experience to show that they will last the next 6000. After that - I would probably reconsider. Terry's has about 2000 on it and my Force also only has about 3000 on it. EZ |

Why not have a few bent up? By the way the Big Kid needs an engine, the big end on the rod is knocking. I replaced the small end bushing last night and just started it but it still knocks.....bad! |

California pisses me off.... Tried to register the bike today. They needed to do a VIN check as the bike was titled out of state (purchased it from a military guy). Unfortunately, California wont allow a California resident to purchase an out of state vehicle without CA air quality standards posted on the vehicle. And for me to have gotten this waived, I would either have to be in the military, purchased this bike as a replacement bike that got totaled outside of this state, or have over 7,500 miles. I only have 1,720 miles. Damit. Spent 2 hours at the DMV today for them to tell me this. grrrr. So, I'm gonna ad my boyfriend to the title and have him register it in Illinois (he is military). Take that California! (Message edited by felicita on April 24, 2008) |

21,400 miles on it....BUT....you have to remember that it was driven for an undetermined short period without oil pressure due to an oil pump drive gear failure at about 12,000 miles(I don't remember, but I have it written down in the maintenance records) And I can tell you darn near every one of those 21,000 miles were driven with every intent to try and break the thing. |

I could lend you a speedometer! Pretty freakin amazing when the ONLY difference is the smog charcol canister. I've got a spare one of those too! I cant even remember seeing a sticker for CA air standards. You could order one I'm sure. |

My 'oo parts book doesn't show a special CA decal - also, the VIN has some digits that indicate "CA" or "the rest of the world", so... Speedo swap! (Message edited by berkshire on April 25, 2008) |
