Thanks EZ, once again you a wealth of info. I'll try and remember to post pics when I get them on, along with my dual light conversion. From reading past posts I see that the Avon wears better than the Pirelli (I was more than a little disappointed when my rear Pirelli lasted just over a season). What has your experience been with the Avon, EZ? |

They fit fine on mine with the rear shock mount whammo with a hammer. Almost looked like it didnt even need it. But you cant see the tire swell from centrifugal force when it standing still. The beads sure were a biach to pop on tho. |

Looking good Urban! Sadly, although the weather is getting nicer, my Blast is in about 1001 pieces, so I can't ride yet . And yes, it is EZ. And on these boards, EZ, is god. |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/20164/30677.html?1207223342 The dash itself installs like stock. You installed the Jardine using the stock lower front mounting hardware - yes? EZ

When I got my K&N it was white. I didn't see any other color choices. I did peel off the sticker before I painted it, though. |

OK, the Winters are a little long up here in Minnesota. Here's a photo that shows how I protected the Oil lines ( piece of clear tube ). I have them in several places. I would have been bumming had I not found this website.
When I looked close I could see the Oil lines getting dug into. Thank you, Blastards! and EZ you are the Dark Lord. By the way I paid to get the Pipe installed. I have tools but am just getting started using them. I will be installing an alloy dash for the Spedo, It should go well, and look nice with the rest of the bike. The Blast is like "build it your way" Ya all need to check out the NEW Fuell edt. The lower scoop on the Blast is cool, HhMmm I bet I could make a som-tin er, out-a? and If I Painted it yellow,.... --UrbanMello |

The problem is - unless you use the stock front lower mounting hardware - sooner or later the header is going to crack from too much vibration - the stock hardware prevents that from happening - even if you buy the hardware new again - a ten dollar investment - and re-install - you've saved the larger investment - the Jardine - from cracking. Your choice. EZ |

Any time you have the dealer do something, later, you'll go back and try it yourself and say, "that was too easy! Why did I pay someone else to do it?" Happened to me more than once! |

Ouch, It's been about 1K miles. The pipe is bolted directly to the engine, no Rubber. Damm, I will call the dealer and order the Front Lower Mounting Hardware for the Exhaust. I was afraid I would screw up the install, here the person that's "Trained" messed up. Tell me I don't have to remove the pipe from the head to install the stock hardware/ Rubber? -UrbanMello |

That's another thing I've found when the dealer did it. They forgot to tighten bolts properly, put things together sloppily, used the wrong bolt, forgotten an o-ring, mis-balanced the tire, et cetera. |

+++ can You say Newbee +++ I don't like the dealership,,, $30 for all the hardware. That's as stupid as stupid can be. I ordered the service manual and Parts Catalog today from an E-Bay Store. It's Tool Time, the bike is back in the Kitchen( That's in my apartment/Shop). A Winter storm on it's way to Minnesota for Friday anyway. -Urbanmello |

"...sooner or later the header is going to crack from too much vibration..." I used the Jardine hardware and have about 3000 miles on it without a problem. Am I flirting with disaster?! I kept all the factory hardware. Maybe I should go back and rearrange some parts. |
