Ripped that off, and masked everything but a 4 3/4 strip down the center of all plastics. Sanded to rough up the glossy finish, but not as far as to create deep scratches, cleaned with soap, water, scotchbrite and then w/ rubbing alcohol. Painted a Satin Black Krylon Fusion stripe. 6 coats w/ 400, 600, 800 grit wet sandpaper in between. Next, masked off 1/4" stripes on both sides, and down the center. Painted 6 coats Nickel Shimmer Krylon Fusion w/ same sandpaper treatment. Unmasked the black and put down 6 coats of a satin clear coat w/ same sandpaper but up to a 800 and 100 grit. Now, it's smooth as a babies bottom!   Reuel Posted on Saturday, March 22, 2008 - 07:02 pm:        I'm going to save this information just in case I get bored with making mine entirely black. If I go with the 600cc setup, I have to take the cases completely apart, so I'm thinking of getting them powder coated black.
