Hi EZ a while ago you posted some part numbers for kawasaki levers. I checked on those and they were about $48.00 each. what made those so special? I was wondering about the make and model because there were some on Ebay just now (auction ended) for a kawi ninja for about 10 bucks. the brake lever was adjustable... they looked close?? |

That is correct - they are adjustable, and still about 30 less than CRG - so worth mentioning. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Your best bet to research this would be to see an application of which Kawi bikes use those levers, I got the part numbers from another Bueller - LaFayette, in another forum, you start collecting them after a while, the was later confirmed in the Tuber section. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Why is it that if you drop paint on something chrome it almost takes a jack hammer to remove the offending drop, but you can sand, scrape, seal and prime something chrome to try to get paint to stick to it and the first bug that smacks into it will knock the paint right off? This was a badly scraped and cracked headlight ring from the problem child. I couldn't justify the $40.00 or so bucks that the dealership wanted for a new one so I glued the bad one back together applied some spot putty, sanded and painted it black. These things should come black anyway, I think the black made a huge improvement in the looks of the bike. The headlight ring (and the handlebars) are the only chrome on the whole dang bike and I think it just looks goofy! What do you all think?

Kim WOW! You have been busy! Did you do the work or did you bring it somewhere? Did you remember to flatten out the shock mount? Did you get the tire at AMT? I was sorta looking forward to spinning a wrench or two on your bike, then maybe going for a ride somewhere. Next time maybe. Try Craigslist for the tank bra, I found a good deal on a Buell windshield there... LOL! I still haven't mounted that windshield I got from you yet, I'm still running that Givi. Chuck |

Erik I happen to have a nice new flashy red plastic set, sooooo I'm not in the market for a tank bra but... how tough would it be to make a pattern of it so folks could make one, or have one made? If Buell no longer makes or sells them then it wouldn't be like we were taking money out of the hands of the Buell. |

Just take some vinyl and cut it to the desired cover you want. Overlap it 2" under the tank cover, add velcro,Voila! It would take too much time for me to make a pattern. Frankly, I just use yellow contact paper (or large model airplane striping) for scratch guard and a rubber stick-on tank guard to keep the tank bag from sliding around. The Buell Bra is too much of a pain to remove for washing and tends to stain and scratch the lighter coloured tanks when ridden in the rain. |

Hey has anyone tried to see if the Banke performance Buell Fender Eliminator Kit would work or could be modified to work with the Blast P3? The part number is FEK-02 M2 Tailpiece, powdered coated black $130. It is originally for the M2 and it states that the assumbly is 7 inches wide even if it required some modifications it sure does look cleaner then what stock looks like. Here is the link to the image from Banke Performance website: http://www.bankeperformance.com/buell/tailpiece.ht ml Cheers, totolandman |

I don't want to keep beating a dead horse. However which tube frame brake lever will work on our blast? One says all but xb models, and the other one says for nissin brakes. Our master cylinder is nissin. I heard to use old school tube frame lever were the ones to use. |

well i have a jardine exauhst, love it , but in its same right the stock pipe really complements the bike with its chin spoiler shape. so i have seen a couple of the other buells chin spoilers on ebay and wondered if any could be adapted to the blast with a custom bracket maybe. has anyone acomplished anything? |

I was wondering if anyone has found a GOOD integrated taillight (brake light/running light/signals). I was looking at the clear alternatives version but it's construction looks only so-so but if someone has tried it out please let me know your thoughts. |
