I just purchased a 2003 Blast and I'm interested in doing the open air box mod (along with a Vance & Hines pipe and jet kit). The Buell airbox kit is obsolete. What are my other options for this? Anyone have part numbers or can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

or do a search for Ezblasts stack filter.

Since the Pro Series is unavailable, they are the ways to go

Or you can build a Ray/Tony ProSeries prototype

You could actually mount a K & N air filter directly to the carb (with an adapter-American Sport Bike torque stack or Kuryakin). You'd have to find a flat one offset to one side (going under the bike). Not much different that the Pro Series filter but without the elbow.
Saw one mounted this way at the track today (forgot the camera). Although it was on a Mikuni, I could see it working on the stock carb. The downside is it does stick out a little further than the Pro Series so some riding styles or body types would have a problem with it.
