I remember seeing a thread about this a while back. A racer was running one in the 600 class. Anybody build one for street use yet?

Slaughter can tell you about his effort for the track he's building, and I just got my frame and swing arm last wed., ebaying parts, and looking up parts needed to finish project - lol - the original was totaled on his second race - sigh...

This single was the first and it was tight, it deserved a longer life than it got by its rider - shame on him!

I finally pick up my motor tomorrow.

Have to tear it down, get the case bored and then get the new top end... or maybe just put it together and run it as a 500 for a while - though it will be a big bore before too long.

It's a project for me, racing the twin is the main thing. I'd give it 2 months before it is race ready.

Front fender-stock XB Black, Black Rage fairing with Acerbis mounts, Kellerman Micro signals FR and Rr, Blast tail light, airbox cover with Plexi airbox base, CRG Mini-mirrors, low S seat, seat sub-frame, suspension, brakes and wheels - XB, S tree, Black Laverda Bars, SS braided lines, motor, electronics and rear sets from the Black bike, with the clip ons, seat, shock and body work moving to the red bike. That pares down a lot of weight - about as naked as it can be and be "street legal". Then it will be rebuild time for the motors - probably the former red first, then the XBBlast - that way I'll know what I gained and practice from the first rebuild should make the second easier - lol

The trick for me will to be keeping the bike in budget, shouldn't be too hard with Ebay and the resources here, but it will be a waiting game!

The Brits have built some of the ultimate Supermono racers.

How much did the XB/Blast! Supermono racer weigh?

I'm in the middle of a couple projects right now. It's amazing how easy it is to blow a couple grand.

He came in at around 350 I figure to be at least 20 lbs less - still not close enough to the Brit 280 bikes I've seen, but it should be fun never the less with the XB set up.

You need them magnesium XBRR wheels.

It's a cool idea. I've seen a picture of an S1 with a Blast motor, too. I'd like to see how they worked out that rear mount.

I heard about an experimental Blast that had an XB12 motor in it. Supposedly, the frame had to be cut and reshaped a little, but it ran pretty well. The person who told me about it said he blew past a Big Dog (or something similar) and he could just imagine the rider going back and telling his buddies about the Blast that smoked him.

I can't imagine a Blast with any bigger motor in it.

The frame flexes like crazy in turns with only 30 HP

I'm tapped out for the rest of this year, due to up comming holidays, new job, etc., however, I'm watching Ebay hard and only need 8 more parts to start the transformation - so it will happen - I knew it would be a 2 year project - lol
Wheels & tires
Front Tripple trees
Forks
Front Brake System
Seat Sub Frame
I achieve those parts and she will be built!
