i just ordered a Jardine exhaust with the quiet core insert and was wondering if i will have to rejet my carb for the exhaust? i already rejetted it to 170/45 and shimmed the needle as per the advice of several knowledgeable people on here. |

I would think you would be good to go, as in it won't be too lean. You may want to bump each up a little after you try things out with what you have, maybe 48/175? |

Use the stock lower front mounting hardware and add a rubber washer to each side - don't use theirs or it will crack - jetting best - 45/175 (when the can dies go to a 3" Suppertrapp universal with 23 discs and it will be as quiet as the Pro-series). got my jardine exhaust today and it installed with no problems what so ever. i got the quiet core insert with it and i was suprised at how quiet it is. in fact i may take the insert out tomorrow. the bike revs much more feely now but it has developed a slight popping when you let off the gas. i believe this is caused by the motor running a bit lean so i will take out the 170 primary jet and install and 175 over the weekend. the exhaust has one side benefit that i like. because it is a bit louder then the stock exhaust i now no longer here each and every gear change (clunk) which was one thing that kind of bothered me about the bike. i should try adjusting the primary chain and see if that helps any. overall i am very pleased with the jardine, only now i wish i had bought one sooner. Note I hope you followed my sugestions for longevity - keeping the stock lower front mounting hardware and adding rubber washer to each side, or a different song will be yours later on - 45/175 is correct for the Jardine which has the same header style as the WB - which I run. - to get all the popping out you'll also have to adjust the air mixture screw out from light bottom 2 3/4 turns. EZ, i did not do as you sugjested because i was unsure what you meant. i will remove the jardine front mount and replace it with the stock setup. where do i add the rubber washers? the stock setup uses a rubber spacer/washer on each side (inside) do you mean for me to put another rubber washer on the outside next to the flat washer/bolt head and one on the other side by the flat washer/self locking nut? if i have a chance tomorrow i will take a pic of what i'm talking so you can see what i mean. |

just get a generic two rubber washers - you can find in the plumbing dept. of any hardware store - installation as you said correctly. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |
