A local locksmith just made new keys for me for $4.00 each. He used the ILCO X270 TMC1 blank and they work perfectly. He just copied my one existing key (he can't do it from a code or VIN, for that you need Dave S.) It's a plain silvery key -- no rubber head. But the price right if you just need a spare. (My PO only had one key. Ex-girlfriend took the other.) |

Another blank alternative - Going back into the archives LOL I had my ignition key made at Home Depot with a Volvo key blank. The guy making the keys didn't have any Buell(big surprise) and noticed it looked a lot like Volvo key. It is a VL6 made by HY-KO. Found posted in another forum. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Found for cross reference: Also, where can I get a spare key? Just get a copy made of your current key by a real locksmith or dedicated key cutting place. The blank is an Ilco X270. Use the copy and keep the original in a safe place. EZ |
