Has anyone seen these Diamond Cut Headlights that come up on ebay if you do a search for Buell Blast? They are supposedly Jeep Wrangler headlights. Will these actually work on the Blast? Just wondering if anyone had tried it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-05-Buell-Blast-Euro-Diamond-Cut-Headlights-03- 04_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ015QQitemZ250002451655QQrdZ1 |

I bought one 3 years ago, and installed a high output bulb. VERY bright light. Only problem I ran into was that the headlight mounted upside down (per the markings on the lens), but it does nto seem to effect the use of the light. I'd do it again...looks good, and performs well. |

I purchased one about a year ago and just got around to getting it installed on my '05 Buell Blast last weekend. I purchased a 90 watt Blue Zenon high intensity bulb (H4) as well as a clear corners side marker bulb for the little round accent light that comes with Diamond cut headlights that are listed on eBay for the Blast. It is cool when on low beam the smaller accent light is one giving it a unique look. When on high beam the accent light is in the off position. I spliced into the positive and negative wire for the main headlight after extending the harness that came with the lights. I am telling you it is a 40% improvement from stock. I will try to post some images this weekend with my high end Canon digital camera. Cheers, totolandman |

Robb Where are those pics? I've been thinking about these lights as well and would love to see what they looked like on the blast. Did you have to mount your's upside down too? |

Slowhand96, I have been crazy busy with work and have not had any time to ride. I plan to take photos of the Buell this weekend and I will post them. I also installed a new windshield Givi AV770 which I am very happy with. totolandman |

Thanks for the update. How about the upside down issue? Did you have that problem too? |

Slowhand I had no issue with mounting it rightside up. I have a 2005 P3 though. I also wired the auxilary bulb into the headlight and it works on low beam. The crappy blue bulbs are not 12 volt so I went to the auto parts store and picked up are rear side marker clear bulb and installed this in its place. It looks sweet! |

Slowhand I will be taking photos this Sunday and will take both day and night pics. One decision that I made was to not use the Japanese bulbs that came with the headlight or the auxilary bulb. I went to the auto parts store and purchased a bright white side marker bulb for the auxilary and a Sylvania Silverstar HID zenon (H4 ST) white hot at 4,000 kelvin (65/72 watts). |

I've had better luck with Japanese market bulbs than I have with American market bulbs...they last longer, are brighter and achieve brightness using altered construction materials instead of an increased power draw. (Message edited by xgecko on September 15, 2007) |

Slowhand96, Sorry I have been without my ride since the end of November. I have been working out of the country most of the time between Nov last year to date. I have not even seen my ride since then. I am having a ton of engine mods done as well as ignition mods, a tach installed with billet dash, steering dampener, and brake upgrades. When I get the bike back hopefully in the next 30 days I will be posting a bunch of photos of which a couple will be on the new look with the Givi AV770 and the diamond cut headlight! Peace- totolandman |
