Welcome Jo! We'll help however we can. Maybe your slow jet is clogged (from sitting) or intake boot is torn. Common problems. (Message edited by gearheaderiko on May 13, 2006) |

new turns.... They are standard bulbs instead of the LED ones I had. The LED ones were a joke... These turned out way better anyway. One more new one in my profile...

Swampy - What do you mean? Did you see the other new picture in my profile? That might show you want you are asking about... Otherwise, here is the pic of what I cut off the frame, I'm not sure if that's what you wanted to see or not....

I got home today and the Big Kid was out in the garage working on his Blast. He was doing alot of head scratching and finally came up with this:
Not quite as short as other tail modifications but it makes it look a little different

I did alot of head scratching myself while I was working on mine, in fact, I just about scratched myself bald when I was re-doing those turn signals last week. Looking Good! Nick |

Sweet - I like that one a lot! A lot of nice touches there - you could buy those mini-wedge signals with the flexible stalks - 12 to 20 bucks a pair - depending where - good looking inexpensive and have been the most durable so far on the red - people bumped into the Microns breaking them, the mini-cats-eye though inexpensive - kept braking after the first rains - lol - the Buell ones while durrable - scratch easy - and are a funkey look - lol - my opinion - Really nice touches on that bike though! I found these posts, maybe I just need to turn them a little: Xgecko Posted on Tuesday, February 05, 2002 - 05:22 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aaron they will fit but they will also hit the tank, the pullback is too much. so no they will not work. the set above them "superbike" bars work well beleive it or not 3/4" pull back makes a huge difference. the fairing looks basicly the same as my LP one only with a lighter screen Jonnyz Posted on Tuesday, February 05, 2002 - 07:21 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried some clubman bars from Tucker Rocky On my Blast. They look like the Airtech ones listed above. Unfortunatly they didn't fit. No matter what I tried they hit the tank and severly limited turning. Even the superbike bars I have needed to be rotated forward a little to clear the tank at full lock. Jon Xgecko Posted on Tuesday, February 05, 2002 - 10:13 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yup mine touch (just) at full lock but I can't count the number of times on one hand that I've ever needed that much play |

The bars are in a comfy spot right now. Rotating them will also lift the grips and it LOOKS like they'll point up and out at an awkward angle. My nice black paint job is chipped now. |

My experience has been that Krylon Fusion DOES NOT stick to the stock plastic body work very well. It may be that our "Surlon" bodywork isn't exactly the kind of plastic that the Krylon "Fusion" paint was made to bond with... Plus the Fusion in black isn't very "black" if you know what I mean... It takes on grey hue in direct light... Mandatory Pic....

That bike was used in riding in a steel globe - a globe of death act - lightened up to make up for the crash bar-cage and some wierd-ass exhaust - lol pic

Nick: Did you sand the bodywork before you tried the Fusion paint? I haven't tried either paint (regular or fusion Krylon) on the stock bodywork. The regular paint seems to work just as well on metal or plastic as long as the plastic is sanded a little.
PS Some very nice tailwork going Naustin & Swampy! (Message edited by gearheaderiko on May 22, 2006) |

Melvis - you should be able to trim the stock sub-frame and fit that on - I'd trim the plastic a bit as well to simplify the lines - but thats just me - should look sweet!
