According to HD, all of those parts are available. They will take a couple weeks since they are stocked in a different warehouse. A dealer should be able to get them for you |

Yes there was a sprocket recall, make sure it was done, rejet to 45/170 & air screw 2 turns out, and make sure primary was adjusted - remove spacer and adjust if it wasn't done, Change out the tire rubber to new (too old - bad things are likely to happen) Avons are a good all around choice, and swap out gas for some high octaine to clean things up a bit and you should be good to go for a stocker! The 2000 is the best handling year Blast made - lol - GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

I am planning on heading to the Upper peninsula to meet daves the beginning of June and I need to save the rest of the vacation time since I have a baby on the way. Maybe next year. |

I'm in the final stages of completing my new taillight set-up. It's frickin cool. I cut about 1.5 inches off the rear sub-frame, and half of that cross brace, then reinforced it with a bracket I fabbed up out of a leftover component of my garage door kit I didn't need, and was able to create a solid mount for the new L.E.D. taillight and licence plate. Since the Taillight is now recessed about 8 inches from the stock position, I also trimmed the tail roughly 4 inches. It looks killer, and the light itself is 1/8 as big as the old one - yet it is actually brighter! Unfortunately the tail is yellow and the bike is black, so I have to paint it before I'm going to post any pictures. One problem I had with the LED light is that you have to aim the thing to maximize its visibility, and it was angled much too high at first. I used a piece of aluminum to create a mount that is now attached to my reinforcing bracket and it's all turning out perfect. Thankfully, since I chopped up the rear sub frame before I had this all worked out. If you look at my profile pic on the bad web, you can see the "artists rendition" of the tail of the bike that I did in photo-shop as a bit of a teaser. I'll post pictures when I'm done painting it everything. |

Nice job on the tail Naustin! Your bike has come together nicely. It looks better with the low seat than the high, but at your height I cant see how you can stand it. I'm thinking maybe a custom Corbin is in your future. |

Hey everyone, I just got back a week ago. Was off training with the National Guard. NO BIKE. Was glad to get back home. Got chewed out by wife cause I rode bike first day back to work in below freezing temps. I have to say that the Mobil1 10w-40 motorcycle oil seems to help on the cold weather starts. My next training will have me in Eastern VA for six months and I'll get to take bike. Can anyone tell me a good place to get an inexpensive ramp to load bike into pick-up? John |

Thanks Erik! With the rear sets, the low seat isn't too bad, and I think it looks much better as well. It's more comfortable overall than the tall seat, even if it does take away some leg room. You're right, I'm definatly thinking about a Corbin. I just don't know if I would like how it would change the lines of the bike. How much do they actually "customize" it for you? Lately, I've been reading up on your motor a lot, too. |

There are some shortcuts to what I did to the engine that could save a bunch of money and probably get the same output. Corbin will do whatever you want(or they used too) to the seat. Wider, bucket further back or forward, wider rear section, lower, higher, skinnier, colour, texture and piping options. It will probably cost more for some options. I think Meyers or Sargent will take your stock seat pan and do whatever you want with that too. With them you'd have a choice of seat firmness, but I think Corbin is better for that. |

Had a nice ride! About 62 degrees and overcast! Darn bolt broke on the dash and I hear hear a rattling as I get home - lol - I drill out and replace the bolt, and go over bike for 15 minutes - the rattle is caused by a crack right above the front mount weld - monday I'll hit a local muffler shop and 20 bucks later I'll be good as new! - lol - GT - JBOTDS!
