Hey guys ! I notice over on ebay that there is a Blast drive belt for sale. But it states its 135 teeth ! IS the that the size one for the original 2000 Blast with the recalled Pulley Sprocket ? It say's it new.... the price is low. Too bad it also doesn't come with the old sprocket? BTW are all the first year spockets apt to Frag ??? |

Ralph3: You don't want to mess with the 2000 drive pulley sprocket. It WAS likely to crack over time and a few Blastards had breakage at speed. Not good. I had the original '00 sprocket and found that the new one (01 and on) made for a better ride. |

Greetings All, I finally got a chance to record some sounds from my 2002 including the WB E-Series exhuast. I don't have the best PC speaker system going so please let me know how they turned out. Thanks! 2002 Blast Sounds |

Gee thats quiet - ya know if you modify your air box not only do you get more air but more sound echoed from the motor (the old fashioned hearing horn effect). I love the sound of my Bub on a hard pull and then the drag decel gurgle - so cool. Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

Thanks EZ, actually it isn't so sedate when you get on it though. I've already had a couple 'I better folla dat boy' experiences with the local county officers LOL. I'll try to get a 'drive by' recording at full throttle this weekend. Rich |

Hey guys- I cant get my seat to fit flush, its a stock seat and it is sitting up maybe a quarter inch off the frame right before the tank. I see there is a plastic clip thing on the bottom of the seat- where is it supposed to go? Thanks for any help... Shawn |

Shawn, To install the Blast! seat make sure you hold the back end up as you slide the front toward the tank. It takes some wiggle to get the plastic tongue to slide into the slot in the frame. It takes a little practice to get the front tab into the slot. You sort of flex the seat by pressing down on the front as you hold the rear up all the while wiggling and pushing seat forward. Then once it is mated properly at the front press down on the rear to engage locating pin through hole. You should hear a click as pin is engaged by the catch. |

Corbin Chronicles Continued... Ray Fssnoc2501 has purchased the Corbin seat from me. He is banking that his "mature" weight will better compliment the firm nature of the Corbin product. I hope it works better for him than for me. Thanks Ray!

I'm picking up good vibrations, she's giving me ... Oops, what was that which just smacked my left arm? Could it be metal fatigue? Was the mirror fastened too tightly? This was the mirror replaced at 3200 miles after my crash. The right mirror, still attached, is the original. Any one else had similar mishaps? Later, I'll post a brief ride report from today (114 miles). |

114 miles today (70.2 mpg) in a beautiful Autumn ride in the sun towards Mt. Rainier. Temp in the low 60's. My Blast w/ the stock seat (no Corbin) and exhaust and left mirror (still attached). With 9,500 miles, the Blast is getting smoother, but the fatigued and broken mirror didn't know it. Of course, my dealer (open on Sundays) had none in stock and didn't want to let me grab one from their Blast demo. So I went about 30 miles total with no left mirror. You'd think they'd have some in stock. Sheesh. |

Prof is the need for a second mirror legal or personal...I rode with a left for 6 months before ditching both and going to my Bugeyes |

Xgecko - the state of WA requires both mirrors. So riding w/o the left one is a bit harrowing. |

Prof_Stack- both my mirrors came loose and would have fallen off had it not been for my lightning quick reflexes . They loosened up about 100 miles of each other (1500-1600 miles). I hope when I tightened them it wasn't too tight... no problems yet... ShawnM |

Does anyone know where I can get a Buell sticker for the inside of my rear window of my car? The H-D dealer had some on display, but not in stock. I want the one with the Pegasus. I want the smaller of the two sizes. Thanks for the help. Jezebuell (thinking of changing my username to this - it's my new Blast's name.) |

Very nice I wish those had been available when I was looking for rearsets. I really like the option to use race shifting |

Wanted to get a closer look at that ignition module, so I headed on over to the H-D dealership to check it out up close and personal - not only have they had it since FEBRUARY - it was 50% off! I didn't have any cash on me at the time, but I told them to hold it until tomorrow . . . oh man, I can hardly wait to try this thing out! |

Those Banke rearsets may be exactly what I'm looking for- but is stock height high enough??? X-Gecko??? Will they still rub?? Just wondering... |

I wouldn't expect that module to do a thing for a stockish bike, and I sure as hell wouldn't turn up the rev limiter. Your stock 6500 limiter is a good place to be with the stock valvetrain components, trust me. |

Speaking of ignition modules, does anyone else feel an abrupt transition between the 2 ignition curves in the stock module when opening or (more likely) closing the throttle? It's been fairly pronounced on the 3 Blasts I've ridden (2 of mine and Loli's). Just curious... -Saro |

Hey Aaron, how ya doing man!? I'm glad to see you back, although I'm not always good at checking this site. About your comment on the ignition module. Why can't we just bump the limiter up to the first notch ? And my Bike has a V&H Pipe and jet kit with a K&N air filter w/separate crankcase breather, I also run Mobil ONE 15w50. I regularly hit the rev limiter even in 5th gear (about 96mph). Why can't the motor take just a few more revs ???And if not-What parts are needed in the valve train etc. to safely extend the Redline ??? Thanks for any info..... ~Ralph Rosson~ |

The crossroads rearsets have more clearance than a R1...you won't exceed it without trying real hard. the Stock height is a bit low for my taste but others claim they don't need much more. I think the Valve-train is too fragile (guides, springs etc.) to rev beyond 6800 (stock according to my manual). A stage three from Brian would change that...so would a bigbore kit. |
