Where you from now? And do you get up this way often? We have lots of great back roads to ride.

I'm down here in Northern VA.. Unfortunately, don't make it up that way too often. Did like Baxter -- 60 miles of roads like the picture above & perfect for a Uly, but no motorcycles allowed in the park. Thought about coming back, in a couple years, to camp there with the Loons. (^^^^^^) |

Hi everybody. I'm new. Just got a 2003 Blast and I absolutely love it. A little skeptical at first due to some bad feedback I've read but thankfully have had no problems with mine. Not the greatest picture but it was a fun ride from Santa Monica on the PCH to the Los Angeles County Line.

Looks great! I like your luggage, especially that tailbag. Looks like it is just the right size. I wish I lived in CA sometimes so that I could go on the SLO rides and see some of these bikes in person. |

Naustin...Ya...! I bike turn pretty well..I must said. Took her out for a short ride this weekend and she Ride like a dream. My only criticism is the Jardine Exhaust is REALLY load...I am getting a silencer for it! And the Metal Banke foot peg vibrate quit a bit. Does your rubber Banke footage do any better with the vibration..?? Hey..you black cafe Blast is looking well too...!!

High seat. The Corbin is a big (BIG) improvement. |

It actually feels Higher the the High seat, because you are seating back further and the seat is wider in the back side, but it is a major improvement on the stock seat. very comfie...!! |

faster - i haven't noticed any vibration with the rubber pegs... I'd say it's about the same as stock. I haven't had my bike out for a few weeks. It's been in the 50's pretty steadily around here, which makes for a pretty chilly ride. We've had frost on the ground the last 4 mornings, and by 5:30-6:00 the sun is almost below the trees, so no warmth there either. I might bundle up and go for a short blast around town and out to starbucks tonight... |

Naustin..you may want to invest in some riding clothing, so you can make more ride in those chily weather. I was out on Sunday in Nor Cal and this was about in the low 50's, and I was fine in my Gore-Tex Jacket and pant. You know...? in Germany when I was there, they ride (Rain or Sun) in the low 30'S.....! Of cause...German's are a very hardy bunch of People.

I came home from work and decided to put some 3M window insulation kits (shrink wrap plastic to keep out cold drafts for those of you in f-ing temperate climates that my not have seen them before). My heating bill was $380/mo in January last winter, and natural gas is supposed to be 50% more expensive this year. I'm really not looking forward to heating bills that are more than my mortgage payment. $5.00 for gas in the bike is starting to seem expensive unless I actually have somewhere to go. Ugg.... its 37 degrees here right now... (Message edited by naustin on October 26, 2005) |
