WRT the long pipe on Erik and James' project: THat pipe isn't a LITTLE longer... It appears to be nearly twice as long as a typical Blast exhaust. It's not going to move the powerband down a little... It's a different (and stronger) phase of wave that hits the exhaust port from that monster. It's different enough that it behaves "shorter" when compared to more conventional Blast exhaust lengths. Or so it would seem, anyway....... -Saro PS - James, that's the kinda exhaust thing I mentioned to you on the phone once. |

Saro - Yeah that pipe is reaaaalllllllllllyyyyyy long. And LOUD, did I mention long? It seem to work real well, but It was probably deemed unmarketable because of all the work that you need to do to mount it. I'm a bit conerned about it's longevity, but all we can do is race it and find out if it will last. James |

Since you are still talking about that exhaust that is on Gearheaderiko's bike. I must have missed long ago, where this pipe came from? At first I thought Gearhead just built it. But from this latest post- "probably deemed unmarketable", does that mean it was an aftermarket manufacturers mule test pipe ? *Bobby |

I'd buy it for the Red bike! - read early discussions about making a custom power exhaust for the Blast - it was postulated and tested/noted that a header almost twice the length of the bike would produce the best power results - proof of this the old Force was the longest header available and produced the most power, with the WB and D&D 2nd in length, then the Bub and Jardine, then the V&H, then the Kerker and Pro-series, then the stocker. The trick would be to make the mountings durable - easily fixable - lol GT - JBOTDS! EZ (Message edited by ezblast on October 08, 2005) |

Actually it is a White Brothers R & D pipe.(Sorry EZ I wish I could say I bent it). I swore I'd never use a WB pipe again because its really a race only pipe, but since its to be 'raced only',we'll see how long it lasts. As James wrote its got zilch at the low end, but we'll see if the dyno tune can change that. It's unlikely going to see less than 5000 rpm once its off the start line anyway! |

Gearheaderiko, thanks, thats all I wanted to know. Your bike looks sweet. I like all your mods. Good luck at the track, and I'll be looking fwd to reading how your bike does. Either way, it's still a mean street thumper. *Bobby |

I think the stocker is the longest available exhaust if its true that it snakes around inside the housing like its reported to (I haven't cut one open). |

yeah but at 1 1/2" id it don't matter, but it opens from the header weld into chamber that has a hole in the far end to the next chamber, that has a hole at the oposite to the 3rd chamber and then out the rear - lol - GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Ahhh yes! Owner of the mighty Blast - lol - who found out that you need to shift your weight more to the rear when hi speed cornering to achieve better handling. I see that he was also running Works suspension - did he have the 2 way or 3 way adjustable shock? GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Decent looking bike - It's probably been re-painted. Look at the black reflector on the right fork tube. Bidding on it is under $1200 right now... Nicebike for under $1500.... I wonder if those are bikemaster Clubman bars??? James (Message edited by jprovo on October 12, 2005) |

one for the Light_keeper. Thought I'd have a chance to run into you, back in the end of August, but it turned out to be owned by a gent working at the gallery next to the Pemaquid Point Light. Said he'd gave up the Goldwing and now commutes with the Blast. |
